The Giraffe Restaurant/Cafe: Celebrating Fathers on Father’s Day
Last Sunday I posted this picture (the Instagram version) on FB and many started asking where this place with so many giraffes is!
To answer your question, it is in Klang. Behind Klang Parade to be precise.

Last Sunday was Father’s Day and a bunch of mommy bloggers decided to surprise the Daddy(s) behind our blogs to a giraffe treat! :) We googled for the place to check what’s good before going and Ethan got pretty excited and anxious when he saw so many giraffes!
We share most of the food so you’ll be seeing what we ate plus what we shared.
We started with French Alpes Salad (RM12.80). Country styled salad with tuna, boiled egg, capsicum, anchovies, tomato wedges, olives, cheese, parsley and tossed in homemade mustard dressing. I enjoyed the chunky tuna while Darling really loves the fresh salad!
Mint Lamb Chop (RM15.80) One of the Daddy had this grilled New Zealand lamb shoulder coated with sweet minty sauce and said the meat was very tender and offered to let us try it. I took a bite and totally agree with him. Lamb with mint sauce can never go wrong :)
We ordered this Roast Chicken Wrap (RM11.80) for all to share. Shredded roast chicken wrapped in flour tortillas with lettuce, tomatoes, eggs, melted cheese, mustard dressing and served with chips. I enjoyed munching on the chips dipped in the brown sauce from the Mint Lamb! Hehehe..
I had this Burgundy Chicken Chop (RM13.50) Grilled chicken accompanied with french style dijon mustard sauce. I have to say this is one of the first that I actually ordered chicken instead of fish as you know I ALWAYS have fish whenever I’m dining out. I have no regrets having this though as the chicken is well marinated and so tender that Ethan took half of it!
As usual we ordered pasta for Ethan. He had The Giraffe’s Chef Pasta (RM13.80). His favourite spaghetti with chef’s special red sauce, cooked with pork bacon, mushroom, black olives and pork crouton. The pork crouton definitely adds a savory note to this dish and Ethan loves it!
I forgot what is this dish called but I know it is pork belly. It looks so good I had to take a bite. The outer layer is interestingly crisp and crunchy. The pork belly gives it a smooth finish but I tell you, it’s just not my thing. All that fat in the belly is just not my fancy -.-
We also shared this Margherita Twist (RM4.50). At RM4.50 only for this piece it is a great item for a starter but somehow we ordered this close to the end of our meal :D Topped with mozzarella, tomato, garlic, oregano and olive oil, I don’t mind having this again and again.
I’m sure by now you guys are wondering, it’s Father’s Day and I’ve already featured what Ethan and I ate but what about our King that is being celebrated today?
Well, for our beloved KING, we got him this:
The Giraffe’s Townhouse Burger Stacko (RM36.60). It’s triple stack of juicy “char siew” sauce minced pork burger with smoked bacon, cheese, tomato and lettuce. It’s taller than the giraffe and is great for 2 to share!
I had honey green tea while Ethan had his favourite watermelon juice. I can’t remember the price for them but I certainly love my green tea. Ethan’s watermelon is ‘sugarfree’ though. Haha! Well.. it was not sweet :P
Giraffe having a luxury beer spa! :P
Darling, in the presence of other Daddies that evening, decided to have beer. Why? Because we heard this place is famous for their homemade brew beers of assorted flavours! We tried this and quite like it because it’s very light. We’re not beer drinkers you see.. so this is like drinking Shandy ^_^
We ended our pleasant meal with the Traffic Light Solero Smoothies (RM9.90). It was sour to begin with but as you let the Solero sip into the mixture it gradually sweetens. What a perfect ending to a beautiful dinner!
Celebrating my beloved King with my precious little Prince <3
Oh yeah, in case you are still wondering, NO, they do NOT serve giraffe meat here :P
One day, ethan will be taller than all those giraffe…
The Giraffe’s Townhouse Burger Stacko can be shared by a family of four like us la! Food there definitely looks good.
aiyao.. a bit far for me to go there but very tempted.. hehehe..
Food looks really good and so cheap some more…but no thanks – I wouldn’t want that towering burger. Nobody’s mouth is so big and taking it apart to eat sure beats the purpose of having a burger…plus it can’t be very good for health. Wink! Wink!
Giraffe – a very nice theme for a western restaurant. But the tall burger is a little bit too much for me. Need to keep my cholesterol level in check :)
If they serve I also don’t want to eat, I love Melman :)
All the way to Klang? You guys really know how to enjoy life..:) Giraffes are so cute and they serve pork! hahaha.
This place is so cute! The prices for the food is also very reasonable. Must go and look at all the giraffe!
yum yum! im hungry ad! oh wait why got hoegarden?!
your pork belly dish was different from the one I had.. mine doesnt have the layer of crispy skin,, yum yum, im drooling for that already~
