DIY Wrapping Paper
Ethan will be celebrating Teacher’s Day in school today. He had no time to get gifts for his teachers so I helped him buy but I forgotten to get wrapping papers. I only realized we are out of wrapping paper after dinner and it is already too late to go out already. How? We made our own wrapping paper.
First, I cut a heart shape from a piece of paper.
Then I placed another piece of paper under the heart shape. I sharpened some color pencils to be used for this art work.
Sprinkle some shaved colours and rub it into the hollow of the heart shape.
Keep rubbing until we have covered the entire heart shape.
As shown above.
Remove the paper and we get a beautiful heart shape printed on paper.
Now let’s try a reverse version. Place some shaved colours and rub out of the heart shape.
We’ll get the above. Equally beautiful don’t you think so?
DIY Wrapping Paper is done.
And this is what it looks like after wrapping the gifts.
Happy Teacher’s Day to all teachers out there :)
Creative mom….Thanks for sharing now we can save from buying wrapping paper
Happy Teacher’s Day!!
Creative of you to diy your own wrapping paper.
Nice. Ummmm…I’m a teacher too! Hint! Hint! LOL!!!
How nice to have a mom who is an expert in crafting. :)
Nice! Very creative and fun!
Oh Merryn, I have a few questions to ask you, regarding gyne doctors and hospitals for a friend.
I’ll send it through your ‘contact me’ page.
Thanks!
Pandai~
But.. What kind of paper you use? Sorry not good at diy me.
very interesting. i wonder did i do this when i was in school. losing memories :D
Happy belated teacher’s day to you! (since you are a tuition teacher). Very nice hearts but I think it takes a long time to rub the colour onto the paper and must be careful because if hands are sweaty and rubbed too hard, the cut heart shape will be torn. Just wondering how come you have so many pieces of large white paper in your house?
