Gardening with Ayden: DIY Calcium Powder
Our costs of living is getting higher. It is advisable to grow our own food where possible. I grow spinach, tomatoes, brinjals, ladies fingers, red beans and even corns for our consumption. These are all grown in pots as I don’t have much land at home. To ensure good harvest especially when you are growing fruiting plants such as tomatoes, brinjals, ladies fingers and corns, you need to make sure the soil is fertile and nutrient-rich.
I prepare the soil by mixing compost and calcium powder before starting any gardening project. I have a compost bin where all my daily kitchen organic waste goes to and I make our own calcium powder using egg shells.
Watch this video to see how easy it is to make calcium powder using egg shells. It is so simple even Ayden can do it. Once you are done, just store it in a container. Mix or just sprinkle them onto the soil before you grow anything in it. Add more calcium powder periodically as your plant is growing especially when it is flowering and bearing fruits.Â
Thanks for gardening tip
Ayden is a real expert here.
Come, come! Send him over. He can help me with my garden, and teach me a thing or two.
Wow! This is something new that calcium is useful for our gardening. I hardly have egg shells so I can feed the soil with my calcium tablets! LOLOL
Your boy makes good videos and I could imagine he could become a natural TV host in future with his flair and charms. Love him!
I’m doing this too after reading your post earlier, thanks for sharing!
