Door Insulating DIY
Since Darling was bitten by a centipede in our bedroom a couple of nights ago, I’ve been a little paranoid. I can’t sleep at night fearing another creepy crawly might climb up our bed. So when we went shopping today the first place I go is to Daiso to look for insulating tape for doors.
Thank goodness they have lots of it. RM5 for each strip of door insulating tape. I bought two first as I am not sure of the quality. The main purpose of me getting this door insulating tape is not to prevent heat or the intrusion of sound but rather to keep creepy crawlies from crawling in from underneath our door.
Went home and quickly ran upstairs to fix this to the bathroom door.
First I used wet wipes to wipe the door clean.
While waiting for the door to dry, I measured and cut the insulating tape according to the width of the door.
I remove the sticker and attached the tape to the door.
In less than five minutes, the fixing of the door insulating tape is done. I like it that the tape is clear and soft so it is not very noticeable from afar.
So simple, so cheap. For just RM5, I get a better peace of mind. I hope this will stay in place and last for a very long time coz I really don’t want roaches or centipedes to come into my room ever again!
I’m going to buy more of this insulating tape and fix them to all the doors in my house. The thought of that centipede just scares the heck out of me.
Daiso sure got lots of interesting things to see and buy!
OH yes! Some worth the buy and some… hmm…
did william have some special odor that attracted the centipede?
Please lah. He has a special scent that attracts me :P
Daiso stuffs can tahan or not? Sekali the centipede keep pushing and pushing and become bigger and bigger… lagi scary. LOL….
Ish!!!! Noooooooooooooooooooo!
I am using these too to block the gap between the door and floor.
