Ayden’s 1st Birthday Celebration in Malacca
Ayden finally turned ONE on the 31 August 2014. We had two celebrations to celebrate my little boy’s first birthday. One in my hometown Melaka and another in Darling’s hometown, Seremban. This post shall touch on the celebration in Malacca only. The one in Seremban will be posted in another post.
I quite enjoyed the preparation for the party part in Malacca as I had fun with my dad and nieces decorating my parents’ house.
Ayden loves all the DIY animal theme decor I did for him.
Ethan helping out my Dad but obviously he (Ethan) wasn’t doing a very good job. The animals banner kind of senget sebelah a bit -.-
My cousin and nieces helping my Dad filling up the cooler box with cans of beers.
Ayden’s Safari theme birthday cake and jungle animals cup cakes.
My Darlings <3 Ayden and I wore matching cute tiger tees while Ethan and the Dad had matching fierce tiger tees.
Ayden blowing the flame off his candles with some help from the big brother, Ethan.
Cake cutting. The father helping Ayden to cut the lion’s head! :O
My family with everyone in it; my parents, my eldest sis with her hubby and two daughters and my second sis with her hubby and only daughter.
With my cousins and nieces.
With my friend Erika Toh. Thank you for coming dear <3
I prepared some fancy animal themed snacks for the kids that proves to be such a hit! It’s a wonder how a little twist to a name can get the kids so excited! Lol!
Tiger’s Tail
Baked Worms
Giraffe’s Neck
Jelly Bear
My mother joined in the animal theme fun and made these cherry jelly bears :D
All set and ready to party.
The caterer is ready too. Let’s take a look at the food that evening.
Fried Rice
Fried Mee Hoon
Chicken Curry
Fried Chicken
Stuffed Tofu
Meat Roll (I think, I dunno)
Mixed Vegetables
Oat prawns
Sweet and sour fish
Fruit tarts
Our guests digging in.
We have guests outdoor under the canopy…
And also some who chose to stay indoor for the aircond. Glorious, cooling aircond!
While some sneaked to the back for mahjong :D
My aunts.
I’m so grateful for them and also my parents and sis for helping out with this party. With Darling and I busy taking turns fussing over Ayden, we did not manage to do much. I even went to bed early as Ayden is already tired. They helped a lot in cleaning up and making sure all is well throughout the party.
We actually bought giant bubbles to keep the kids entertained but due to all the ding ding dang dang, we forgotten to let them play >_<
Well that’s about it for the Malacca part. Thank you all for coming and I hope you all had a great time (if you are reading this lah).
Coming up next is a private dinner with the in-laws in Seremban :)
Lovely theme, great party and so much food!
Ayden must be enjoying all the attention from cousins, uncles, aunts and grandparents.
Happy belated birthday little Ayden!
Happy belated birthday to Ayden! He is truly blessed to have everyone coming together to celebrate his birthday. With the nice animals banner created by mommy and lots of catered and homemade jelly bear food.
The jelly bears are so cute. Ayden’s grandmother has so much patience to make them.
Happy birthday again, Ayden. Ummm…I think I would stick to the food from the caterer. Baked worms….no, thank you. Hehehehehehe!!!!
