Revisit to Angcle Peoh
Remember my post on Angcle Peoh’s best Char Koey Teow that blew me away? It got me craving for more day after day after day so I decided to go there again not too long ago.
Ayden checking out the menu :P
Once we are there, I decided to try something different. I wanted to know if the rest of the items on the menu is as good as the glorious CKT.
I ordered the Fried Hokkien Noodles (RM8.90) for the kids. It is our first time eating this version of fried hokkien noodles. If you don’t already know in Penang, Hokkien noodle refers to their prawn noodles. I got confused too some time ago ‘coz here in the Klang Valley Hokkien noodle is a totally different thing.
Coming back to this fried hokkien noodles. It has to be eaten with the sambal as it is kind of bland. The kids doesn’t fancy this neither so I had to order their favourite pork noodle to fill their tummy.
.
Darling ordered Prawn Mee (RM6.90) and he has no regrets for it. The broth is so good and everything else that comes with it lived up to its standard and expectation.
I had the Fried Tom Yam mee (RM9.90) and was happy to see how beautiful it was. It was a little spicy and tangy. It was okay but no where close to the fried kuay teow that I love so much so I decided to go ahead and order that duck egg char kuey teow again.
And it hits me! That satisfaction of eating a superb plate of Char Koey Teow.. Cravings satisfied!
I guess I’ve eaten the best on my first visit so this second visit kind of pale in comparison. The next time I’m here, I am going to just stick to my favourite Char Koey Teow, Curry Noodles and Assam Laksa. Those 3 will never fail to satiate my cravings.
Already KIV-ed this place, MUST go when I hop over to KL. Some people say BETTER than any in Penang, overrated, tourist traps mostly…
Make me crave for the CKT but Klang is too far lah wei…. >_<
After reading your first post about this place, I make a special trip there to eat. Like the assam laksa. Good to see their standard has not dropped and you still approve of the food.
