Aloft KL Snug-a-Plush
Last month during the long weekend break due to Federal Territory Day and Thaipusam, we went for a quick getaway in the city. We did not want to get caught in the heavy crawl on the highway so we chose to go on a staycation right here at Aloft KL instead. The reason we chose Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is because they have this Camp Aloft programme where they’ll set up the room nicely for the kids (upon request) for family with kids. Weekend rates start from RM350 with breakfast and we were lucky as we got upgraded upon checking in.
Holidaying with the kids, our priority is their comfort and the activities available to keep them happy and occupied. We did not quite know what to expect so imagine our delight when we came into the room seeing this:
A king size bed, a tent, a single air mattress, a Doof bean bag and a little plushie that we later found out is ours to bring home.
No need to guess who was the happiest to see all these, right? It’s wonderful how they prepared the extra mattress for Ethan with the tent and all.
This purple plushie. It’s for Ayden to bring home under their Snug-a-Plush programme for guests with kids.
Our break got off to a great start with the kids happy and excited.
Oh before I go on, remember they upgraded our room to Urban room? I was so happy as the benefit of Urban room is having complimentary Mini Bar in the room.
All the items in the Mini Bar is complimentary and they restock it daily. Wow!
All these! I have Evian drinking water daily. Woo hoo!
Look who took possession of the plushie already. Tsk tsk..
Here is where I sneaked in some work when the kids are asleep as our room comes with complimentary high speed internet access.
What I like best about our room is their super huge walk-in closet and washroom area.
This is the super huge closet. So big that my iPhone can’t capture the entire thing.
The walk-in closet cum shower can fit my entire family and more! See the sliding door behind me? Slide that and I’ll have my much needed private time for a long, warm shower in this super huge area.
Basic necessities in the washroom.
Tea and coffee making facilities. They even have a French press so we can enjoy freshly brewed cup of coffee at our convenience.
Separate bath and loo.
Ironing facilities.
Welcome snack. I tell you, the kids got sugar high with all these snacks coupled with the drinks in the mini bar. Thank goodness for the tent and toys to keep them occupied and burn off the extra calories.
Now let’s go swimming. They have an infinity swimming pool at the rooftop with many whales and dolphins.
Yes, whales and dolphins. Ethan went crazy seeing them and just cant wait to jump into the pool to grab one.
Ethan’s first catch. Haha.
We did try to get Ayden up on the dolphin too but he wasn’t too keen as he is too little to grab hold of it.
What he likes though is to kiss the whale. He kissed it so many times!
I tried to get on the whale too but I did not know how to move it. I was simply sitting on it and not moving. What am I supposed to do now? LoL.
Ayden preferred to be in the baby pool where he can walk about freely.
While the big brother Ethan loves the infinity pool.
At night, the rooftop is even more beautiful. We can see the lovely KL Tower and KLCC from here. In fact, I can see them from my room too.
Ayden did not want to go to bed early as he wanted to keep on playing with Ethan. I let them play for a little longer while Darling and I watched TV.
The room rate is inclusive of breakfast here at Nook.
Kids will get toys to keep them occupied during meal time.
The boys love it lah. The only complain from Ethan is why do they have pink blocks? Haha.
I love the healthy breakfast spread. My favourite yogurt breakfast to start my day.
Ethan and Ayden as usual will have noodle soup anywhere they go. See that baby bottles? That is teh tarik. A waiter gave it to us seeing that I have two kids.
I happily drank it much to Ayden’s dismay. How come teh tarik tastes so much better in a baby bottle? LoL.
I requested for another bottle for Ayden who happily gulped down his teh tarik. It was his first time drinking that.
Nothing beats having freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast and Darling was very nice to squeeze some for me.
After breakfast we went up to the rooftop for a swim again. They have this HUGE Doof beanbag with an even BIGGER mirror at one corner by the pool. I love lazing there.
Lots of natural lighting. Pink. Huge mirror. All the perfect ingredients to make a nice selfie. Tee hee.
Even Darling was not sparred from having a wefie with me :)
But all good things must come to an end. We have finally reached the end of our staycation.
It’s not too bad though as Ayden gets to bring home the plush toy and he is obviously very happy there.
Check-out was extremely quick. We just dropped our key card here and left.

The assortment of yogurt seems like a healthy choice for breakfast. I will love to try all of them.*gulp**
Nice leh. A camp in the comfort of the room. Look like mummy is the happiest around too.
Free drinks? So good. Some hotels, you drink…then buy from 7-11 to replace…too late, they charged already! So fast! Tsk! Tsk!
best to stay in KL to enjoy the quietness during festive and long weekends!! and this package is not bad at all, RM350 for a family and then they have so many nice facilities, got you upgraded and most importantly the very nice gesture to make you feel so welcome.. free drinks in the mini bar!! free plush!! what else could you ask for more?? the breakfast also looked good, and the swimming pool is so much fun.. LIKE!!!
What a wonderful staycation, I would like to have one too!
That’s a very child friendly hotel!
The teh-tarik in milk bottles for kids/adults are so innovative! Haha.
Lovely to see you all enjoy your stay. =)
What a superb vacation! Everyone is so happy especially Ayden!
