Taman Santai Strawberry Park, Genting
A few weeks ago we brought Ayden up to Genting for the very first time. With Ethan, we used to frequent Genting twice a month but after I delivered Ayden, we stopped going up until recently. On our way down after spending 3D/2N in Awana Genting, we stopped by this Taman Santai Strawberry Genting. This strawberry farm is different from the one we’ve been with Ethan quite some time ago called Goh Tong Strawberry Park. Besides strawberries, the Goh Tong Strawberry Park has mostly fresh greens such as cabbage, salad and more but the one here in Taman Santai has strawberries, flowers, lavender garden and also a mushroom farm. The moment you step in, you’ll have to walk through everything before you can exit so be prepared to walk a lot or don’t even bother to enter.
Taman Santai Strawberry, Genting
Free entry. We did not spend a lot of time in the strawberry farm though this time because we do not intend to pluck strawberries. Instead, we headed straight to the Lavender Garden as Ethan has never seen a real lavender garden before.Â
This caught my eyes. They recycled used boots as pots! How clever!
Ethan saw this bee and hurried me to take a picture of it :)
Lavender up close.Â
There are numerous other colourful flowers but I do not know their names. I’m not very well-versed with plants and flowers.Â
It was also our first time entering a mushroom farm.
Rows and rows of mushrooms. We started here where the mushrooms have yet to sprout.Â
As we walked further along, we get to see various types of mushrooms sprouting.Â
Ooops! Ayden accidentally touched the mushroom. We quickly took out a wet wipe to wipe and proceeded to wash his hands immediately. But I doubt it’s harmful as these are edible mushrooms, right?Â
By the time we covered the entire place, we are dead tired as Ayden refused to walk and demanded to be carried all the while.. -.-
Look at how pleased he is… Tsk tsk.
Beautiful! I love those boot-pots! Sigh!!! Nobody has ever taken me here when I went over to KL. Sobssss!!!!
Less than an hour’s drive from my place only. But must walk a lot and I mean really a lot of walking there. Can kah? Otherwise go to the Goh Tong Strawberry Farm. That one doesnt require too much of walking :D
LOL! I love Ayden’s smiling face in the last photo. Like a boss!
Kan? Me and hubby carried him until patah tangan dy…
I have not seen a different species of levander plant before. Thanks for showing!
Wow, the mushrooms are huge!
Eh wait. I think there’s only one type of lavender right? The rest are not lavender. Dunno what flowers la they :D
What a lovely day for the kids! I wanna go Genting again~!
Hehe.. I’m lucky Genting is so nearby us :D
I also want to visit this place, so beautiful ! Initially thought you are at strawberry park in Cameron.
Ah Cameron so far away. Thinking of the road trip scares me dy… I’ve not been back there for some time now.
Nice! I’ve been here before, a few years back. Good to see that it’s still going! I loved picking my own strawberries (and eating them). Haha.
Did you bump into my 2 year old nephew? LOL! He also went there a few weeks ago I think. Cannot touch one meh the mushrooms?
YES!! I think I bumped into your nephew. If he is not ur nephew then he must be somebody else’s nephew la. He’s definitely somebody’s son and somebody’s nephew! Lol! Apa la.. So random meh? Hahaha.
Been here once and will consider visit again since it is FOC :P
Nice outing. Ethan learnt a lot and Ayden enjoyed himself. Those mushrooms are not harmful but still, need to clean his hand. In case he puts into his mouth.
I did not know that there is aa strawberry farm in Genting. Both boys must be very happy. Just look at Ayden in the last photo!
