Talent Night

The day Ethan has been waiting for – Piano Station Talent Night has finally arrived. On that very same day also we got the best news ever, Ethan’s drum teacher messaged me to inform that Ethan passed his Trinity Grade 2 Examination that he sat for earlier this month!

I let Ethan read that message and he squealed in delight! He let out a loud sigh of relief and hugged me real tight! Of course Darling and I hugged him even tighter and congratulated him. We knew he worked really hard for that and we are really proud of him :)

In the evening we made our way to Sunway Mas Community Centre, Aman Suria early. Dinner was provided for the performers and their parents but what I wasn’t aware of was that we needed tickets to enter the auditorium after dinner. Sometimes I can really be a blur case! >_<

I was afraid they won’t have any tickets left and I wont be able to watch my boy’s first ever Talent Night. I was so, so sad that I wasn’t able to enjoy dinner at all eventhough the food was laid right in front of me :(

I totally skipped dinner and went straight to the auditorium so Ethan can be seated with his band mates. That was when Darling saw some of the people of Piano Station and thankfully, they still have tickets! Yeay! Finally I’m back alive! LoL!

We got our tickets, told Ethan that we are able to watch him and left him with his band mates while we went to take our seats.

I wasn’t worried leaving Ethan there as these ‘cheh-chehs’ took good care of him ^_^

At about 9pm, Ethan and the rest of the band members went on stage. Ethan started with a solo drum performance of a Trinity’s Grade 3 piece while the rest of the band members took their position. Watch this video of Ethan’s solo drum performance during the Talent Night:

Ethan stayed to watch the rest of the performances throughout the night until 10pm when drowsiness kicks in. We left at the very last performance of the night.

All of the students did well that evening. Ethan too. Well done sayang. Mummy and Daddy are very proud of you!

Ethan said with his exam and concert over and done with, he can finally take a breather and REST! LoL! Tomorrow, we will be hunting for Optimus Prime as we’ve promised him earlier that after his concert he’ll be rewarded with that. He worked hard for it and of course, he deserves this :D
