Pizza Fest: Cheesy Roasted Chicken Delight Pizza recipe

I’ve always love pizza. Actually I love lasagna more but since I’m watching my diet, pizza is a better alternative *I hope* The last time I made my own pizza was way back in secondary school during Home Science lesson! -.-

We were in Aria Italian Dining last night to help out a bunch of college kids with their project – Pizza Fest. Even their lecturer was present that night!

We got the opportunity to build our very own pizza. We got to choose 5 ingredients as the topping of our pizza. That was LOVE lah as you know how restricted it can be ordering from the menu? It’s like I like the chicken but I don’t want the olive, I love tuna but please can you leave the crab stick out of it? Those hassles are gone last night as we get to decide what WE want in our pizza!

Pizza Fest is a two week promotion that is happening in Aria from 21st October onwards where customers pay only RM25net for a DIY Pizza with a choice of 3 toppings. You can add extra toppings with additional costs.

We let Ethan decide what he wants his pizza to be. Here he is trying to figure out which 5 ingredients he wanted to be in his pizza.

He has finally made up his mind and his choices are:

Mozzarella cheese.

Roasted chicken.

Pineapple.

Mushroom.

Rocket leaves.

Of course we’ll need the compulsory pizza base too :P

Darling helped Ethan with the gloves before he starts making his own pizza.

Ethan then proceeded to making the pizza.

Putting his choice of toppings onto the pizza base.

Final look of Ethan’s Roasted Chicken Delight Pizza before it goes into the oven.

While the pizza is in the oven, Ethan proceeded to jot down the ingredients before he forgets. He happily named his pizza “Roasted Chicken Delight”.

And then the pizza was presented to him. He took a bite of it..

And the gooey mozzarella formed a web that refused to snap :D

Aww just look at THAT! The cheese crazy me almost had a heart-seizure looking at that string of cheese! I can’t wait to get my hands on Ethan’s pizza already!

He then decided to rename his pizza to ‘Cheesy Roasted Chicken Delight Pizza’.

It was delicious. We were amazed at how good it was! The pineapple compliments the tender roasted chicken well, giving it a tangy twist. It was so appetizing that we wanted more of it! But we had to try other pizzas as well. There are 10 pizza creations last night for us to taste and vote for the best.

In the end, 2 pizzas came out top. These two pizzas will be named after the creator and featured in Aria’s menu starting from 21st October 2012. Guess whose pizza came out top?

Yep! You guessed correctly! It was a tie between Malaysian Foodie’s smoked duck, turkey ham, pineapple, cheese, and mushroom and Ethan’s Cheesy Roasted Chicken Delight Pizza! Yeay!

It was his first time making a pizza and it was deemed good enough to be featured in a real Italian eatery’s menu! That was such an achievement for little Ethan!!

I love pizza too! When lazy days, I just use wraps as the alternative of pizza dough, and did some thin crust pizza… main rule, the pizza must be loaded with ‘pullable’ cheese!!! LOL! aper kata you buat pizza party, we come and make pizza together.. LOL!
