Skippys Pizza – The real PORK pizza, pasta, burger and ribs
Think PORK pizzas and burgers and one of the first that comes to mind is definitely Skippys. I think it is safe to say most of us know of the first Skippys Pizza in Phileo Damansara 1 that originally started as a delivery and take-away store. That outlet in Phileo in due course accepts dine-in customers too and quickly became popular with the corporate lunch crowd in that area.
Last December, Skippys Pizza opened their second outlet at Damansara Uptown. They are just 2 doors away from The Ship.
Skippys Pizza, Damansara Uptown
We paid Skippys Pizza a visit this evening.
It was 6pm and they are gearing up for the dinner crowd that will come bustling in an hour or so.
Nice and clean interior. This place is a full fledged bar so you can choose to seat on the high stool for drinks and snacks or get cosy at their dining area.
Oh yes, they have beer taps here. If you noticed in Phileo, they only served beers in bottles but here, you can get it directly from the tap :)
In case you are interested in their beer promo.
Darling and I don’t drink so this is not what we come here for :D
There are magazines to keep you occupied while waiting for your friends. It is totally recommended to dine with friends here as their food portion is on the large side. They are good for sharing.
Ethan here is waiting for his mates to skip over too :P
We ordered Ice Lemon Tea (RM4.00)
Chef’s Recommendation
It was 6pm when we went over so we actually missed the Lunch Deals otherwise we would have gotten the Ice Lemon Tea for free as we did order a burger.
Skippys Gluton Pork Burger (RM24.50)
We actually placed our orders according to the positive recommendations we read from Foursquare. All you need to do is google Skippys Pizza and you can see the list of highly recommended porky delights by satisfied diners.
The pork burger is really good. Non pretentious. Served like a bawse with egg, bacon, mushroom and thick yet moist pork patty, this is definitely a must-have and is good for sharing. I won’t mind having this without the fries at all.
We actually started our meal with soup. The burger was served later but I put it up first as I was talking about the Lunch Deal. Anyway, we had this Goulash soup.
Goulash Soup (RM12.00)
We shared ONE bowl of this soup with 3 adults and 2 kids. As I said, servings here is huge and as we did not want to fill up our stomachs with just soup, we decided to share. Not just any soup, but GOULASH soup. You know what they say about goulash soup? It is a soup for heroes. Goulash soup is a stew of meat and vegetables. It is very filling. It can be a meal on its own, mind you.
A hearty, healthy soup season with paprika and some other spices yet gentle enough for little Ayden to consume.
Pork Ribs in 7 sauces (10 pieces) RM25.00
THIS is what I am here for. PORK RIBS!
Look at the glaze on the pork. The meat is really tender and coated in an irresistibly sweet, sticky sauce.
The meat falls off the bones easily. Ethan alone polished at least 3 or 4 of this pork rib clean!
By the way, look at that pizza. Ingredients filled to the brim!
This is a 9″ double pizza. Diners can actually request to combine two flavours (half/half) at the price of RM28.90
We had the Ultimate Hawaiian on one side and the Meat Lovers on the other side. The Ultimate Hawaiian is the ever popular pizza here with pulled pork, sausage, bacon and pineapple toppings while the Meat Lovers will satisfy the carnivore in you with their generous toppings of bacon, ham, pepperoni, minced pork, onion and BBQ sauce.
An interesting discovery I had this evening is that diners eat their pizza with chili and garlic paste over here. It is my first time eating pizza with their special chili and garlic paste and I must say, it is a pretty fascinating combination that brings the whole pizza eating experience a notch higher.
As usual, when dining with the boys, we ought to have pasta.
Spaghetti Bolognese (RM16.90)
I can assure you that this plate can easily feed 3 kids. They are really generous with the minced pork. Do not order this to be eaten alone as for sure you won’t be able to finish it. The serving is really huge.
Carbonara (RM17.90)
This deliciously creamy carbonara will send you to bacon heaven in an instant. It is super rich, loaded with parmesan and crisp bacon goodness and is also advisable to share. Take my word for it – sharing is caring!
By the time we are halfway through our dinner, the place is already filled to the brim. It is a full house! I guess we all love sharing a good porky meal with people that matters to us.

Pork? I’m in!!! Take me there!!! Yum yummmmmm!!!!
I have eaten pork pizza at the HQ in Phileo once. It is about time they open another outlet. Food looks good!
Oh! Oh oh oh! I’m going I’m going!! Pork, oh yessss!!
I’ll definitely bring Kenny here as he is super fan of pork but btw is the meat in the goulash soup pork too?
Looks good!
I’ve heard of this place but I’ve never actually gone there before. I do like pork pizzas though, the Italians use pork in their meatlover’s pizzas in Melbourne as well as ham, bacon etc which we don’t get here in the mainstream, commercial pizza places like Dominos and Pizza Hut.
