Children’s Day Celebration
Ethan celebrated Children’s Day last week at his school. He requested for me to bake something to bring to his class. I asked if he would like to bring a cake or cookies. He said since he already brought cake last year, he would like to bring cookies this time. He requested for his favourite Chocolate Chip cookies so I baked him several tubs to share with his friends as well as to give some to his teachers. Of course I also baked extra for both my cookie monsters to eat at home.
Ethan came home happily from school to show me empty tubs as his friends finished all his cookies unlike one year when I made sandwiches for him, he came home with almost half of the sandwich still in the tupperware untouched.Â

Ayden on the other hand is celebrating Children’s Day this week at the Mandarin enrichment class and happily told the teachers that he will be bringing cakes so here I am in the kitchen, baking… againÂ
When you have two children and both celebrate Children’s Day in school on different weeks, you gotta bake twice. If I have more than two kids, the 3rd child onwards will have to bring Mamee to school already because no way I’ll want to have a baking marathonÂ
But honestly speaking, it is a great feeling knowing my boys are happy and comfortable to request for me to bake them something to share with their friends. I’m more than happy to do this for them especially with Ayden helping me on both occasions. That boy will never leave me alone in the kitchen. Heh.Â
Happy Children’s Day to all the children out there. They grow up so fast, it’s scary. That’s why I try to spend as much time with them now while they are still willing to let me hug them and hold their hands ♥
I WANNA BE THEIR TEACHER!!!!! :D
Cookies, cupcakes… lucky kids to have a home baker.
Ayden is such a good boy to help you bake each time.
My kids celebrating next week. This week is their exam week.
Heh wasn’t it just a few years ago I celebrated Children’s day? no?
Their teachers and classmates sure indulged in your baking. Home baked cookies and cakes are always the best.
