We were privileged to be invited to sample a wide selection of authentic and mouth-watering Cantonese delicacies and a range of delicious Dim Sum earlier this week.
I was excited to see if Chef Kok can still dish out delicious cuisine despite being pork-free and I was glad we were not disappointed.
Crispy Prawn Toast with Sesame
The combination of prawns with spices and bread is exellent. The sesame seeds gives a mild nutty taste along with extra crunchiness.
Golden Yam Puff
The yam puff is a clear winner that evening. We wholeheartedly agree that this is amazing stuff.
We squealed in delight as our teeth break into the crispy outer layer of this glorious golden ball puff, revealing the tender and flavourful yam dumpling inside. This was the first to disappear off our table so you can just imagine how good it was.
Pan Seared Shanghai Dumplings
This juicy, crispy dumplings with meat, veggies and pan-fried to golden perfection is very filling thanks to the generous amount of meat inside. I only had ONE yet I feel my seams bursting already.
Prawn Wonton with Chili Vinaigrette
I love this tender prawn wonton for the spicy and aromatic sauce coating them. I can eat lots of them as they are very appetising.
Green Dragon Chive Dumpling
This is also one of the crowd’s favourite that evening with its translucent skin that is just right (not too thick nor too thin) filled with an entire juicy, plump prawn and chive.
Minced Chicken Dumpling Topped with Dried Scallops
This siu mai also did not disappoint. Overall, we were very satisfied with our dim sums selections. Even though they were pork-free, they did not fail to impress us.
Now let’s move on to some mouth-watering Chinese cuisine.
We started off with Deep Fried Oyster for our appetiser.
Deep Fried Oyster
Taste as good as it looks, these delightfully fresh tasting oysters within a crispy light crust makes a really interesting bite.
I just can’t have enough of them. I dived my pair of chopsticks into the ‘twin’ oysters shown in the picture above so that I can have double the goodness of this amazing appetiser.
Barbecued Chicken with Glazed Honey Sauce
This dish bears a strong resemblance to Char Siew with its awesome bbq flavour on tender chicken pieces. Deliciously sticky, sweet, and savory, my kids love this a lot. It goes so well with a bowl of freshly steamed white rice.
Baked Cod Portugese Style
This dish has everything I love in it – tender and flaky cod fish, stinky beans (petai), okra and eggplant in a delicious sauce. My only grouse is that it is not spicy as I’ve always associate petai with spicy stuffs.
Aromatic Duck Breast with Tea Leaf
I am not a big fan of ducks but this fragrant tea-smoked duck breast leaves me in awe. I am surprised that the meat is tender and I ended up eating quite many pieces of them. It is even better when eaten with the sliced apples on the side.
Oriental Grilled Lamb with Mongolian Sauce
Mongolian sauce is probably one of the most popular in Chinese cooking when it comes to beef. This delicious tender Asian BBQ flavoured dish melts in your mouth, inviting you to have more of it. Simply superb.
Szechuan Style Bean Curd with Assorted Vegetables in Claypot
This is one dish you’ll like to order when dining with kids. It has everything in there that kids will love ranging from the beancurd to the vege to the mushrooms.
Sweetened Mango Puree with Sago and Pomelo
Our dinner ends with this refreshing dessert of sweetened mango puree with sago and pomelo topped with a scoopful of vanilla ice-cream.
Refreshing, rich and creamy, we did not want to share this precious dessert.
We’ve dined here several times when it was non-halal and are glad that the food is just as good if not even better now that they are pork-free.
Dynasty Restaurant is open daily for lunch from 12.00noon to 2.30pm and dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm.

The yam puff looks gorgeous, perfect!
Wow, looks very yummy! Dessert always put a smile on everyone’s faces =)
I can do without pork. I will go for the Green Dragon Chive Dumpling, lamb, duck and mango dessert!
Your photos are so nice and sharp to make me drool esp the Golden Yam Puff with the fillings oozing out.
So, it’s delicious, i wanna try all. T.T
