Homeschooling the Toddler: Making Fresh Orange Juice & Soya Cincau Jelly
It is the two weeks school holidays at the moment but we are not going anywhere just yet as big brother Ethan will be sitting for his piano exam tomorrow.
Homeschooling activity carries on as usual for Ayden. Our focus this week is in the kitchen as I spend most of my time in here cooking both lunch and dinner during the holidays. Yeah, enough of outside food for a while. Let them have some homecooked food instead.
We did fresh orange juice today. Ayden loves oranges and what better way then to get him to squeeze the juice himself.
I cut the oranges and let him squeeze them.
It wasn’t as easy as he thought it would be as the juice squirted onto his face!Â
I caught it all on camera. Watch what happens next after juice shot into his eyes:
Besides orange juice, we also did Soya Cincau Jelly. The boys love this. The jelly are all gone within a day!Â
I’ll have to think of other simple kitchen activities since Ayden loves it so much. This little boy may grow up to be a chef :P
No, Ayden is not going to be a chef but he is going to be a Masterchef!!
All the best to Ethan for his piano exam!
Even if not chef, I think his future will be in food. He seems like those “if in doubt, just eat it” XD
He was having fun squeezing the oranges. Haha.
Such a great little kitchen helper!
