Pan-fried Salmon with Garlic Buttered Mushroom Recipe
When Ethan was younger, I always cook salmon for him. I stopped when he grew older. I don’t know why (maybe because salmon is costly) we just stopped eating salmon for several years now until today.
We were in AEON Supermarket when I spotted their salmon selling at 50% less. Bought several packs home and immediately started cooking dinner.
Ingredients:
Salmon
Greens of your choice (Broccoli, Carrot & Corn)
Garlic spread
Parsley
Since the salmon is already at room temperature, I can immediately marinate them with pepper and parsley flakes. I wish I have fresh parsley but I don’t :(
I used garlic spread to fry the salmon. Melt the garlic spread on a heated pan.
Fry salmon for about a couple of minutes until the salmon is just nicely browned on both sides.
While frying, I blanched some broccoli and carrots. Run them under runny cold water immediately so that they don’t look faded. I also steamed bi-coloured corn.
Once the salmon is done, remove to a serving plate. Throw in some sliced mushroom and fry for another couple of minutes.
Less than 15 minutes later, this beautiful and delicious meal is ready for the entire family.
Pan-fried salmon with garlic buttered mushroom
I bet a meal like this will easily cost above RM20 if eaten out but by cooking it myself, a plate of this deliciously moist salmon meal costs us less than RM10. Darling loves it a lot and already requesting me to whip this out more often. He said he’ll go buy salmon religiously from today onwards. LoL! We did not realised how much we missed salmon until today! Ethan enjoys this too saying that the salmon is still very soft and moist.
I know we’ll be having this very often from now on :)
Aiyor…so many things to cook for just one dish. Better you cook for me when I go over, can? Wink! Wink! LOL!!!!
Yummy and wholesome! I wonder why they slash down the price by half.
