Training chopsticks for kids
Chopsticks. How many of you know how to use it? I did not learn how to use a pair of chopsticks until I was in my Secondary school. These days I love using chopsticks when eating noodles. Darling on the other hand is more ‘English’ as he uses fork and spoon to eat noodles @_@
Ethan has always admired me using the chopsticks and requested to learn using it. I don’t know how to teach him how to use it. I tried with the normal chopsticks but he can’t even grab it nicely.
The other day, we were window shopping in Daiso when we saw this. Honestly, there is no such thing as window shopping in Daiso as each and every time we’ll always end up buying something!Â
We bought this training chopstick for RM5.
Ethan requested for spaghetti immediately when we got home so that he can cuba, try, test his chopstick!
He managed to grab the noodles. I told him it’s not right to eat them sideways ala satay style.Â
So he tried eating this way. He eventually got the hang of it and felt very proud now that he is officially a CHINESE eating with chopstick! >_<
One of Ethan’s proudest moment – eating using the chopstick. Now, now .. let’s see you using the normal chopstick. You think you can kah, sayang?Â
Training chopstick. Good idea to start young. =)
Good job Ethan !
War~big boy already lor. :D I wonder when I can train my Jordan boy to use chopsticks.
Ooooo….drooling at the noodles!!! Slurpsss!!!!!
I oso dont knw hw to train Sarah using chopstick.
tq for the post. Perhaps i shld get 1 frm Daiso 2.
wel done boy!
not bad… so cute somemore the chopsticks
Chopsticks is part of chinese culture, so we should learn how to use it. Let him find his ways with this daiso shopsticks first, soon enough he can use to real one.
Aiyo, my parents trained me to use chopsticks when i was 3 or 4, secondary school LMAO!
Although I can use chopsticks but the way I hold a chopsticks not in the “correct” way :P
I got the same chopstick at home, 2 somemore, 1 for my son, 1 for my daugther.. bought in daiso… :) They love to eat mee using it!~ Love it!
I saw this the other day in Parkson too! But sadly, even I don’t use it the right way because I find it straining to use it the right way. Finger muscle cram. Haha!
I remember buying these for my niece and nephew. The girl eats real slow with it and the boy just couldn’t be bothered to…..too slow for his stomach. He needs to eat like the dinasour. So he gave up after a while. And I got them the ones with cartoon and all the cute faces.
I bought one pair for my girl too, but not really helpful wor. End up she practice with normal chopstick and she did it well.
My two girls wanted to eat with chopsticks when they were very small. I didn’t teach them specifically. They just learned the skill on their own. But I find this training chopstick from Daiso is kind of useful.,
Maybe I should get one and re-train myself cause the way I use chopstick is not the correct method xD
shall I get this chopstick too? i not really good in using chopsticks as well! =X
im still holding it in a cross manner. lol
Hmm..have one at home. Only used by Ethel. Elise a bit advanced can straight away jumped to advanced level (adult) chopsticks.ahahha
I also want to teach my girls how to use chopsticks in the right way too, at the moment they use chopsticks in their own ways which the method is not right. I have bought 2 sets of training chopsticks, will let the use once I received them.
It is lovely seeing Ethan using chopsticks… My son learnt using chopstick from about the same kind of training chopstick for kids. My self I don’t have any idea how to teach Calvin. Right now, my son able to use normal chopstick on his own….
