#DiGiMinus @ D’House
DiGi Minus event – Doing more by using less
We were invited by Nuffnang to #DiGiMinus first ever Green Pecha Kucha Sharing and Get-together session @ D’House. It was highly anticipated as Darling has been there before and told me that the place is really cool. I wanted to see it with my very own eyes :D
As I’m pledging green and am recycling to the max for my Studio I thought this will be a very good opportunity to learn more and I was right. Learn I did that Saturday evening…
It tickles me when I watched a video on people’s awareness of going green and how Mother Nature is currently suffering. There was even a clip of a boy saying, “The SUN is drying up!” I wonder how is that possible! @_@ lol.. That just shows how much awareness we have of our environment and what can be done to safe it.
The GREEN drink on that GREEN event. They are thoughtful enough to choose Guava instead of Strawberry as the process of acquiring and transporting strawberries are more likely to leave more carbon footprints compared to the guava that is easily available throughout Malaysia :)
Live Tweets! Yeay… we are saving the world :P
Questions, questions and more questions. What are WE doing to save the Earth? What are WE doing that is harming the environment? Very thought provoking and at the end of the day I kind of being brain washed to be GREEN already! Am so close to being the next cool looking green martian!
Look at those WH- questions. Don’t you realised that all those questions are actually Chinese Surnames?
Hu, Huat, Wer, Wen, Wai, Hau? lol.. That was what I learnt during the presentation! Priceless indeed :P
The speakers giving Pecha Kucha presentation with each presenter having 20 slides, each shown for 20 seconds. Each presenter has just 6 minutes 40 seconds to explain their ideas before the next presenter takes the stage. How cool is that? Hardly have time for us to get bored… ^_^
Multi-tasking to the max here. Listening, taking notes, tweeting, photographing…
And then it’s time for tea break. The wide variety of green bites are super cute :P I love this best :)
Green mini burgers
Green cupcakes
My green meal :)
The door gift. This bag is truly special. You want to know why? Because it is made of recycled buntings! Ingenious isn’t it? With their tremendous promotions and road shows, they are sure to have used millions of buntings and banners. Instead of just disposing them away, DiGi turned them into gift bags! SUPER COOL!
What’s inside the gift bag? The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Oil Face Exfoliator, Shampoo and 2GB PenDrive
After the tea break we got back to business and were divided into 4 groups for the D’House Tour. I’m in Group ECO.
My team members looking through the questions before proceeding with the tour. There are prizes at stake but unfortunately our team lost to Group Organic by a mere 1 minute :(
DiGi’s Art Attack staircase. The mural are painted by DiGi staff’s kids. I likey! :D
The Call Centre / Customer Service. They are online and most importantly – paperless!
The canteen where they have their lunch. No usage of Styrofoam and plastics are allowed.
Still looking for answers for the quiz…
Solar Panels
Meeting Room. Alice In Wonderland anybody?
Group Organic. They won a solar charger and some other goodies.. Hmmph…
DiGi’s Data Centre. I so love their Vertical Landscape! Picture courtesy of mohdzaid.com
At the end of the day, we were given a plant each to bring home as a green symbol. We’re very GREEN indeed and were given 5! lol.. Thank Kiu DiGi!
What was the purpose of our visit to D’House you asked?
To get insights of DiGi’s Deep Green aggregator site http://www.digi.com.my/deepgreen/ before it being launched on Monday. The website was revealed to a group of green bloggers (us) and media members to get feedbacks on how they can better it before the official launch.
You have just got to see it to believe it. Click here for more info on DiGi’s Deep Green efforts.
