33. Lunch with friends
Boo King ended up joining us too. Being the only Macho man there, he warned us NOT to talk about babies for he is still single and very much available. (Anyone who wants to know this guy, give me a buzz. I’ll hook you up! Ha ha!) While Michelle, Chin Ling and King Mee glamorously have nannies to care for their child(s), I on the other hand, brought along my ‘tag along’, little Ethan. Being a weekday, Darling was as tight as ever with his work schedule and decided not to join me for this lunch which was originally planned at 12noon. It was later delayed to 1 something. Fortunately, Darling was feeling hungry that time and I managed to persuade him to eat with us. He was initially planning to get some quick bites elsewhere.
We ended up in Fireman, Jaya 1 as suggested by King Mee earlier. It is a BBQ/Steamboat restaurant. The ambiance is nice and the staffs extra friendly. Being a Thai restaurant, there was not much on the menu for Ethan so I decided to go for the set lunch of the day which is Pineapple Fried Rice.
I was very lucky to have Darling there to care for Ethan while I catch up with my friends. But unfortunately I have to leave early because Darling needed to continue with his work and I depended on his transport. I went to 1 Utama while Darling went on with his work schedule.
Look at the picture above, my friends were happily eating and not the least bothered with the fire that was ‘grilling’ them. I love that part of the decor, very unique and nice. And Ethan definitely love it too. He can’t get his fingers away from it!
