Chinese Set Lunch @ Tung Yuen Chinese Restaurant by Mardhiyyah Hotel & Suites
Tung Yuen Chinese Restaurant by Mardhiyyah Hotel & Suites presents ‘Super Deal’ lunch and dinner set to all Chinese cuisine enthusiasts. Diners can indulge either for self-treat or with loved ones.
I had the privileged to try their lunch set the other day specially prepared by Tung Yuen’s Chinese Chef, Patrick Ng.
What I love about Tung Yuen’s Set Lunch is our food is served in individual portion even if we dined in a group which I did last week.
We started off our lunch with this beautiful Trio Appetizer which consists of refreshing Chilled Jelly Fish with Sesame Sauce and Ebiko, Stir Fried Chicken with Bell Pepper and Szechuan Sauce and Green Mixed Vegetable Salad.
Just so you know, jellyfish contains high omega-3 fatty acids that help to reduce LDL (bad cholesterol) and elevate the HDL levels in blood. It is vital in heart health to reduce the risk of cardiac disorders. In addition, jellyfish are low in calories and carbohydrates so besides being a delicious treat, it is also a healthier meal choice.
Our next dish is this tasty and nourishing Double Boiled Chicken Soup with Black Garlic and Top Shell Meat.
You see, when we dine to Chinese cuisine, it is always done with health benefits in mind. Each ingredients used are specially selected to balance our body’s Ying and Yang.
Double-boiled chicken herbal soup is very nourishing. Drinking this helps to improve blood circulation and revitalize your energy levels. Having this soup boiled with black garlic just elevates the nutrition level as black garlic contains a healthful of benefits:
- Contains more antioxidants.
- May help regulate blood sugar.
- May reduce the risk of heart disease.
- Compounds in black garlic may protect brain health.
- May have anticancer properties.
- Black garlic may help protect your liver.
Our next dish, Sweet and Sour Fish with Pineapple and Bell Peppers is mouth-watering with the fillet slices lightly battered, deep-fried until golden and crisp and then tossed in sweet and tangy sauce with pineapple and bell peppers. It is served warm and crisp.
Next, a plate of Stir Fried Broccoli with Garlic was served together with Wok Fried Glass Noodles with Shredded Chicken and Bean Sprout. I love broccoli when it is not overdone hence the ones here is my favourite as it retains the nutritional benefits and flavour of this powerful green vegetable. It pairs well with the sensational translucent glass noodles that carries a rich, umami-laden flavor.
We finish our hearty lunch with a bowl of soothing Chilled Sea Coconut with Peach Raisin coupled with the warm and Crispy Shanghai Pancake.
I love no frills lunch such as these. All we needed to do was to make our reservation and enjoy our lunch safely without worry as the food is served in individual portions.
You can watch my video of our lunch here.
