CNY DIY Angpow Fish

Today’s Chinese New Year Angpow decor is a remake of the classic Red Packet Fish Ornament but we added additional tail to it, making it more beautiful :)

Chinese New Year Red Packet Fish Ornament

We’ll need an angpow with beautiful prints on it.

Cut it into a square.

Turn it over and draw lines as shown above.

Cut along the lines.

We’ll need another angpow with different print or color for the tail.

Attach it to the fish.

Paste a googly eye and a golden string and the fish is ready. Hang it on your door grill or on your bamboo plants, it will surely add some CNY feel to your lovely home :)

Very nice now that the fish has a pretty gold tail. Will you be teaching us how to do a monkey lantern after this?
