Cold Cut Platters for Sharing RM88
What we love about Sapore is KIDS EAT FREE every Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 2pm with a minimum spending of RM80 in a single receipt. We were here on a Sunday hence the boys got a free pizza. Pizza is made using hand-pressed tomatoes (not pureed) with generous amount of ham and cheese topping. The boys polished this off in an instant.
NEW ON THE MENU is this Grilled Organic Chicken (RM33)Â
A must when you are at any Spanish-Italian restaurant is to try their pork dishes and here at Sapore, we decided to give their Pork Chop with White Wine (RM58) a try.Â
A whopping 350g of pork, I could not finish this by myself though it was nicely done. The chef marinates the pork chop with paprika and seasoning. After which he pats on the pork chop with flour and pan-fried it. For the sauce, Chef Fabio uses white wine and butter (to thicken the sauce and gives it better aroma).Â
Served on a bed of mashed potatoes with garden salad on the sides, I will make a note to share this the next time I dine here.Â
We complete our lunch with Tiramisu and Panna Cotta.Â
Layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers with rich, velvety mascarpone cream, sweet red wine and Marsala, it’s no wonder the tiramisu proves to be such a hit.Â
The boys love this creamy Panna Cotta, a truly great all-time Italian classic dessert. Creamy and rich in texture, every bite gives out the sweetness of honey, followed by the natural sweet strawberry sauce and strawberry cuts on top.
Darling and I also shared a bottle of Sapore’s famous Sangria.Â
The Spanish Sangria traditionally consists of red wine from Spain and fresh fruit cuts.
At Sapore, they add on Grand Marnier, Cognac, passion fruit syrup, lemon juice and orange juice to make the perfect Sangria. It is definitely cooling and refreshing for any summer parties.
I’ve bookmarked Sapore for future family outings as I simply love their casual and comfortable settings. Our boys love the food here so it’s a reason to return eventhough it is situated quite a distance from where we are staying.Â
