FIT or FAT
As I’ve mentioned time and time again, playground time is very important for us. We look forward to going to the playground every evening for some sun and fresh air. We plan our daily routine to accommodate 2 hours of playground time every day. It’s all about priority actually. Just like how gym enthusiast prioritize gym session over anything else, it is the same for us with playground hours.Â
We set a target of walking 10,000 steps a day but being a stay at home mom, that is hard to achieve unless I get to jog or brisk walk at the playground. The same goes to the boys. Children these days don’t get much physical activities. All they do is wake up, go to school, come home, have lunch, do homework, dinner, sleep. If I don’t slot in playground hours, they’ll grow up inactive especially if they are hooked on their gadgets.Â
On days when the weather is perfect, we even have our tea break outdoor. The boys love picnics and it brings so much joy to them just to have our snack in the playground.Â
Ethan has some really active friends at the playground. Ayden is now old enough to join them when they play catch, giving me time and space to play badminton with the Daddy.Â
I always start off with brisk walk or jogging, followed by badminton and finished it off with a set on the monkey bars.Â
If only I had spend as much time on the monkey bars when I was younger, I may be taller todayÂ
Toning my arms and abs on the monkey bars. Ethan can do it better than me.Â
Ayden accompanies me whenever I do body work out. He loves doing the push ups and planking. Here you can see him do the push-upsÂ
We feel really good after sweating it out. Exercise makes us happy.
Age is really catching up on me. My metabolism is slowing down. My body doesn’t burn off calories as quickly as it used to. It is really up to me to be fit or fat. I don’t want my bum to overflow from my seat hence I choose to be FIT; mentally and physically.Â
Ouch!!! *face palm* Muahahahahahaha!!!!
Good that you bring your kids to playground. I agree on kids been inactive and hooked too much on gadgets. Like my kids. Lol.
you have strong arms. good to build an exercise culture for your family.
Thanks for the reminder. I am aging faster like dried prunes.
