Ayden’s Audition
I received an invitation on Friday night to bring Ayden over for an audition for a local Kids Talk Show today. They were scouting for kids aged 3 to 8 years old. I believe it will be a good experience for Ayden as he has never attended an audition before so I agree to it. I am also eager to see Ayden’s reaction to all these.
Today, we woke up as usual, got dressed and head over to the audition venue 30 minutes drive away from our house. I mentioned casually to Ayden that we will be going for an audition where there will be cameras and people who are total strangers to him. They will be asking him questions and he may need to pose for photos too. He simply said OK and carried on doing his own thing.
We arrived the audition place and there were at least 4 kids before us. Ayden sat down with Ethan to watch TV. They got bored after a while because the TV wasn’t showing anything of their interest. I took out the tab for them to play while waiting. Ayden was still his usual self. He did not show any sign of anxiousness or anything. Finally it was his turn.
He entered the audition room with me while big bro and the Daddy waited outside.
The first thing he was told to do was to hold that piece of paper with his name, age and contact number on it.
Look at him. Steady, right? He was still very calm and took instruction perfectly.
He was then ushered to be seated for the video session.
I am happy that he was not afraid and happily tried to answer all the questions. Thank goodness he brought his banana microphone along because he was a bit soft so they told him to speak into his banana mic and true enough, his voice became louder! Each time he forgotten and spoke softly, they told him to hold up the banana mic and he became loud again. It was hilarious
It was a good session. I am proud of Ayden. He has done his best. He was asked if he knows our Malaysia Flag to which he truthfully answered, ‘NO”. LoL! Who to be blamed? The Mummy of course for not introducing our beloved country flag to him
Whatever the outcome of this audition, it does not matter. What matters the most is Ayden had fun and gained a valuable experience today. He gave everyone in the room a high five before leaving. He even shot them using his banana mic turned gun!
At least now I know, Ayden not only responds to me but others as well for a video shoot.
Haha! So cute holding the banana mic! :D
The banana all bruised up dy coz he used it as a gun also :D
Good luck, Ayden! He’s so cute, so endearing.

Cute! It was indeed a great experience and exposure for Ayden, you raise him well, Merryn. I saw his video on FB before. He and his mic, very hilarious indeed.
The mic helps him speak louder. Lol :D
