Our home-cooked dinner
These days I jadi macam full-time cook jer. Early morning, cook. Evening, cook. But why am I complaining lah, this IS the job of a stay-at-home-mom what kan? If I don’t cook then stay at home for what? But then again I have not been cooking for the many, many years I have been staying at home :P
Kor-Kor is busy upstairs in his room, catching up on homework for the one week that he was absent from school. He did not even want to go down for ice-cream with Ayden.Â
So I brought Ayden down to be in the kitchen with me.Â
My little helper helping me wash okras so I can fry them right away.Â
Within minutes, we got this:
The boys’ favourite – Garlic fried okra.Â
Darling and my favourite – Stir fried bitter gourd with egg.Â
Ayden can’t wait to have dinner already but I told him to wait as I still have another dish to whip out.Â
Fried fish with garlic flakes.Â
Okay now we are done. Our humble dinner from my kitchen. Let’s eat. No time for playground again coz the kor-kor is still doing his homework >_<
Wah I wanna learn his washing skills. Wash then fry right away can make the okras separate into slices by themselves! XD
Hahahahahahahaha! So farnee lah you!!
Yummy oh. I love your simple dinner.
Wahaha. One of the tasks of sahm. I dont mind cooking but some day, I really lost at what to cook.
These days I have to cook dy coz Ethan eats early so he can go to bed earlier. The Daddy comes home late so if we wait for him to tapau we will all eat late. So like it or not, I have to cook. Boring or not, the kids will still have to eat what I cook. Haha.
Ayden washed the okra and campak into the wok sebatang-sebatang.. Merryn while frying them cincang into slices and then ready to serve.. so efficient leh these mother and son!!! :D
LoLoL! You also! So farnee. Ish… One incomplete sentence and you n RG can make up stories dy. Hahahahahahah!
RG and SK’s comments are very funny lah!
Ethan is really hard working. Must take a break for an ice cream and then exercise a bit then eat a good meal only continue with his home work. Cannot just be all work only.
Yeah. I was laughing away reading their comments.
Ethan a bit stressed out coz he has too much to catch up. One week is a bit too long and with his current homework, it is never ending.
That is my kind of dinner I love to have…
:) Not mine though. I love to have something spicy though.
Yummy.
Lovely dinner! Your boys will eat vegetables? So good. When I was small, every meal, the rotan would be by the side, stand by and my mum would dump the veg on my plate. :'( Ummmm…no soup kah? Hehehehehe!!!!!
It’s more like water playing session than vegetable washing :P
Home cooked dinners are the best though. I bet your husband appreciates it too. My better half cooked fried rice with stew chicken today (and some veggies) and it was better than eating outside. I like her fried rice and the sweet chicken. I finished everything after the kids were done.
Oh, I thought the okra was huge but maybe it’s just relative to his small hands. I also love okra, love the texture, love the taste. :D
