Our early Christmas gathering @ THYME Kiara
It’s DECEMBER, let’s welcome my favourite month of the year. It is also the month where every where I go, people mispelled my name; MERRYN becomes Merry :P
True enough, MERRY we were as we had an early Christmas gathering with friends in a true British style complete with wine, turkey and more at THYME Kiara in the heart of Mont Kiara, KL.

THYME Kiara is located where Blushh was previously. The owner, the lovely and bubbly Zyda (who migrated with her family to be here) took over Blushh about 3 months ago, renamed THYME Kiara and turned it into a modern homestyle kitchen. It is a cosy place where we can sit, mingle and catch up on each other.
It was nice of Zyda to take some time out of her kitchen to personally greet us when we were there. When asked why she named the place THYME, she explained that besides thyme being the evergreen herb with culinary, it is actually a play of the word TIME. Her aim is for the restaurant to not be just a place where you eat and leave but a place where people come to spend TIME with family and friends; making TIME for your loved ones.
They are having a Christmas promotion for the entire month of December and that is the exact reason we were there – to have our very first authentic turkey course with trimmings and the whole works.
Children’s Menu is priced at RM30nett for kids aged 12 and below. It comes with a choice of fruit cordial or fruit juices, a main course and dessert.
For adults, the set menu is priced at RM108nett per person but if there are 2 pax and above dining together, it will be RM188nett for 2 pax and priced accordingly for additional pax.
Let’s take a look at what the kids have. For RM30nett each, Ayden and Ethan had these:
Orange for Ayden and watermelon juice for Ethan.
Roast Turkey Pizza for Ethan’s main course.
Ayden chose the Creamy Turkey Pasta for his main course.
A heavenly convergence of cream, butter and cheeses makes this a fail-proof meal with kids.
Ethan had cheesecake for dessert.
Ayden on the other hand opt to have brownies with chocolate sauce and ice cream.
Ayden enjoying his brownie and ice cream.
Darling and I took advantage of their RM188nett promo for 2 persons. Our set menu consists of a glass of wine or mocktail, starters, main course, desserts and a cup of coffee with mint to end our lovely meal.
We can choose to have a glass of wine or their signature fresh juice mocktail.
Besides red or white wine, diners can choose to have Mulled Wine instead.
Mulled wine is usually made with red wine along with various Chrismassy mulling spices. A glass of cidery mulled wine turns any occasion into a party.
For starters, Darling had soup while I chose to have salad.
Creamed Pumpkin Soup spiced with Ginger
Smoked Salmon Salad
It is also good to know that for a group of 8 pax and above dining, a whole Turkey with all the sides would be presented. A bottle of Wine will be given as well. Since we went there with 6 other adults, we are entitled for this. It was a delightful experience to see a whole turkey presented before us.
Our turkey with turkey gravy and cranberry sauce.
The accompanying sides –Â Roasted Potatoes, Roasted Peppers, Roasted Parsnips, Glazed Carrots, Creamed Sweet Potatoes, Roasted Sweet Corn, Sweet Peas, Brussels Sprout, Yorkshire Pudding
The whole works! Our traditional whole roasted turkey served in true British style.
We got the kids to pose for a picture before we dig in but Ethan got impatient and hungry again after seeing the delectable spread! Haha!
Not only we have the whole turkey presented before us, the Chef also sliced and plated it together for us right before our eyes.
My main course of traditional roasted turkey with all the trimmings served with cranberry sauce and Chef’s crafted gravy and my glass of red wine.
Darling’s plate of turkey leg. He had wine too :)
Our Christmas Pudding dessert.
Coffee with mint to complete our meal.
It was a lovely, laid back evening spent catching up with good friends. Darling took Ayden upstairs to rest after our scrumptious meal while I chatted with the gals downstairs.

This has got to be one of the best Christmas gathering we have had in a while. The nice and homely ambiance coupled with good food and lovely Christmas songs make this evening a memorable one. As Zyda desires it to be, we truly took TIME to enjoy the food, enjoy the company and enjoy the place.
Their succulent turkey is available for takeaway too.Â
Takeaway Whole Turkey (feed 8 pax) is priced at RM350 nett  *comes with 3 sauces – Turkey Gravy, Black Pepper and Cranberry Sauces
Additional Add-ons – 5 sides for RM100 nett (Choose from Roasted Potatoes, Roasted Peppers, Roasted Parsnips, Glazed Carrots, Creamed Sweet Potatoes, Roasted Sweet Corn, Sweet Peas, Brussels Sprout, Yorkshire Pudding)
Reservations required for set menu and takeaway turkey at least 2 days in advance.
So much good food for Christmas! Ayden and Ethan are perfect models with the food..
Haha :D You ayden looks very adorable ler. He will grow up to be a fine man.
So kesian the poor hubby imprisoned with the kids while everybody else enjoyed themselves. You’re so lucky – get to eat all these food promo events…and still stay so slim and small. Now I’m wondering whether I should get a turkey or not this year…
Wow….the turkey must be really big to cost that much. RM350… T_T
I also want that brownie and ice cream, Ayden!!
Gorgeous food. I like that roast turkey pizza.
The turkey was surprisingly good as I always had rough meat turkey on my previous experience ~.~
