LEGO day
While most kids have gone back to school, Ethan was still having an additional day off on Thursday as the school was being very generous with the festive holidays. Bored at home, I took both the boys out to the mall. The first thing we saw was LEGO. There is some kind of LEGO exhibition and activities going on and since the boys are so much into building blocks lately, this got their attention.
LEGO Christmas. Yes Christmas is around the corner and soon it is time to go mall hopping to catch all the decors :)
LEGO police gonna catch you Ayden! (hence him giving me that face lah.. lol!)
Then we spotted LEGO man and Ethan quickly took a picture with him. We were lucky because after this picture was taken, it was announced that a LEGO building activity will be held on stage. Ethan volunteered himself much to my surprise.
Ten kids participated in the building activity. I overheard a kiasu parent telling his kid, ‘Faster build, faster build’ to which the MC responded, “This is not a contest. It is a building activity. Take your time”. Tsk..
The children with their finished product – a LEGO duck.
The mascot came out soon after and Ethan took pictures with them.
Another mascot. Ayden on the other hand, prefers to go around admiring the LEGO exhibition. Vehicles attracts him the most.
Dump truck. Ayden specifically told me to take picture of it.
Police and fire truck.
What do we call this?
Look at that limousine.
Fire engine. Another of Ayden’s favourite. He actually told me to take pictures of each and every vehicles there but I’m not going to share them all lah. So many you know.
I thought the dragon is interesting but both the boys did not even bother to look at it >_<
I spotted a Peranakan Mansion too which I think is a beautiful piece of work coz you know, I’m a Peranakan lah. Heh.
Macam YES!
Ayden cheating trying to look taller! LoL!
That’s all lah for the day. We actually went to two malls in a day you know. That was how bored we were. I dread to think when the year end school holidays is here. I bet we’ll be spending all our time in the malls until next year >_<
I spent a fortune on Lego when my girl was little. I wonder where they all are now. Had a horrifying experience when she stuck a little piece in her nose. Long story…
Ok that is scary. That’s the exact reason I don’t allow Ayden to play with LEGO yet. Or if he really wants to, I must supervise him at all time.
You didn’t see the Yorkenshire Village? That set is built by my friend lehh…
I saw so many things, too many until I fening wening. Need more time to explore. Will go again this weekend specially to look for that Yorkenshire Village and share with you :D
I would love to look around too. Always fascinated by Lego as kid and now.
Maybe the parent is in a hurry and wants the child to finish building the lego quickly to move on to the next item on the parent’s to-do-list. The vehicle is a front loader? digger? excavator?
