Sakae Sushi’s New Menu
We attended Sakae’s 18th Anniversary celebration with the launch of a brand new menu featuring more than 100 new additions.

Salmon is the main feature in this new menu with all time favourite salmon dishes such as Salmon Sashimi, Hana Maki and Salmon Mentaiyaki as well as some new creations such as Salmon Cheese Roll, Salmon Zukushi, Salmon Treasures and more. In line with their “farm to table” philosophy, only delectable air-flown fresh Atlantic salmon is served.
We were treated to a lavish feast from their new menu. Let’s take a look at what we had.
Sakae Salad – RM13.99
A refreshing and enticing interpretation combining fresh air-flown salmon, seasoned jellyfish, crabstick, Japanese omelette and assorted vegetables served in a choice of either wafu or goma dressings.
Sashimi Mori Zen (5 kinds) – RM30.99
An assortment of mouth-watering fresh air-flown Norwegian salmon, yellowtail, tuna, butterfish and octopus.
Fuku Set – RM28.99
A platter of sushi combination – salmon sushi, cheesy tamago sushi, kani fumi sushi, soft shell crab maki, futo maki, kani edamame inari and chuka mekabu gunkan.
Sakae is the first and only “kaiten sushi” restaurant that adds Vitamin E into its sushi rice, the essential vitamin for great skin and a better immune system for a hearty and healthy meals.
Salmon Cheese Roll – RM16.99
Delectable rolls with salmon, crabstick, Japanese omelette & Japanese cucumber topped off with cheese and spicy mayo.
Sumo Roll – RM15.99
Mouth-watering sushi rolls layered with sea ell and mango as well as a luscious topping of avocado and salmon roe.
Spider Roll – RM11.99
A delectable take on the traditional maki – cucumber-wrapped crispy soft shell crab and flying fish roe drizzled with mayonaise.
Smoked Kamo Maki – RM11.99
Fried sushi rolls with Japanese cucumber and seaweed topped with succulent smoked duck.
Apart from chicken, beef and salmon, there is this brand new smoked duck series now to add a touch of tentalising enjoyment into their rolls, noodles, hot pot and more.
Itoyoridai Katsu Nanban – RM13.99
Breaded threadfin bream deep fried to a golden brown crisp and complemented with the flavorful Nanban sauce.
Hotate Nanban Yaki (2 pcs) – RM10.99
Succulent half shell scallops grilled with Nanban sauce.
A new innovation in this new menu is the use of Nanban sauce in preparing selected dishes to accentuate sumptuous new flavours. Sweet and sour in nature, this sauce makes for a flavoursome addition that local taste buds will surely welcome.
Hotate Mentaiyaki (2 pcs) – RM10.99
Succulent half shell scallops grilled with cod fish roe.
Unatama Mini Donburi – RM19.99
Melt in your mouth premium river eel topped with Japanese omelette served on a bed of soft, warm rice.
Good news for light eaters who love tasting a variety of different offerings as Sakae new menu introduces the Mini Donburi selections. These mini rice bowls comprise of rice with assorted seafood and meat served with various savoury toppings. There is a total of seven choices of Mini Donburi including Unatama, Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Kinoko, Curry Katsu, Salmon Ikura, Chrirashi and Kani Fumi.
Gyoza Ramen – RM17.99
Dumplings, spinach, Japanese fish cake and egg served with ramen in piping hot chicken soup base.
Sakae Kid’s Meal – RM14.99
Chicken Teriyaki served with rice, mini ebi tempura, smiley potato fries, takoyaki & assorted vegetables. Served with complimentary juice. As always, the boys will always ask for the Kiddy Sets. Whether it is the Fire Engine or Train set, they always have a fun and imaginative time savouring food being served on cute and adorable platters.
Mr. Babycino (Citrus) – RM8.99
The introduction of Babycino series will surely set all kids on their toes wanting to have a sip of this cute little drink.
The boys had Mr Babycino, a cute looking “Froggie” concoction of citrus flavoured frothed milk topped with marshmallows. They found it to be a tad too sweet though.
Karinto Manjyu & Ice Cream – RM11.99
Sweet golden brown sugar bun filled with red bean paste paired with a scoop of matcha ice-cream.
Warabi Mochi – RM6.99
A unique translucent mochi textured dessert that is soft and chewy to the palate with a tinge of sweetness.

None here. People tell me it is nicer than SK. We have an SK outlet here, expensive and not nice and service sucks like hell. Once, never again!!! I’d just stick to my favourite local one.
I don’t frequent SK too as my boys are attracted to this GIANT frog. The food here are kids friendly too hence we’re always here.

Almost everything look so good here. The only Sakae Sushi that I go to is the branch at the Curve.
Hopefully they will adjust the babycino to be not that sweet so that children will not find it too sweet.
