Melaka Triangle House – Masbro Village Boutique Homestay
There is this unique triangular houses in Malacca that is popping everywhere on my FB feed. I did some checking and found that it is only 9 minutes away from my parent’s house. Last weekend we were back in Malacca and decided to check this place out.
Surprisingly, when I posted this pic in my Facebook, not many people are aware of their existence. How can you not be aware of such a beautiful place?
I tell you why. But before that, let me tell you that this place is called Masbro Village Boutique Homestay. It is situated in Paya Rumput, just a little away from Tesco Cheng. Don’t even bother to Waze yourself there because we did and waze overshot and made us drive further away. Thank goodness for my father’s sharp eyes that he spotted this village on his left.
This boutique homestay is definitely aesthetically pleasing. It even reminds me of the colourful beach huts in Brighton Beach, Melbourne. But to me, that is all to it. If I am a tourist, the location here is not very ideal as it is no where nearby any famous attraction in Melaka. No doubt it is 5 minutes away from Tesco Cheng but I dont think you come to Malacca just to shop in Tesco right? Maybe you can jog to the stadium nearby but then again…
The village itself is just this small area and it is situated right by the main road. It can be pretty noisy unless they have a very canggih sound proofing system for their houses. So unless you have your own transportation to get around Melaka, this is not a very strategic place to put up the night lah in my humble opinion. But if your parents are residing nearby and you are back for the festivities, then it is a good idea to stay here in case you are from a big family and your parent’s house can’t fit all of you anymore.
wow those houses are really cute…but arent they too small to support all the necessary house amenities?…but I actually wouldn’t mind staying there haha
The size is okay actually.
Homestay? Shouldn’t they try and stick to the real Malay or whatever houses closely so as to give people the authentic feel and experience of staying in a Malaysian home?
Indeed, this is like some place overseas, defeats the whole objective of homestays – maybe they do not know the concept and to them it is stay in a house = home = homestay.
And then kan, just right next to this is the authentic Malay house on stilts for Homestay too. I did not take a picture of it though.
Reminded me of those summer houses with many beautiful flowers around.
If only this has more flowers. It looks quite bare though.
My sis suggested a stay at this place quite sometimes ago, but seem like nothing much to hype about :P
You should have dropped by during your recent trip to Malacca that day. Just to look at it. No need to stay.
I am aware of this lovely house ah… I am aware since… about 2 minutes ago, when I read your blog post. XD
Heh, indirectly I am doing some promo for them dy >_<
That’s nice houses. If the place has more activities for the kids will be a plus point.
I doubt there’s anything for the kids to do there. The parents only will be busy selfie and uploading to insta. LoL.
I wonder who is their target market? Backpackers from overseas?
How to book?
izit worth the staying? How much is the price?

How many people can live in a house? What is the price for one night during the weekend?
I’ve been there for last weekend. The facilities are superb. Yet, the poor service of the staffs already ruined this good image of Masbro Village. We booked hotel for 6 persons at first, since another 2 friends of us were not arrived. They arrived at night. Hence, one of us tried to contact the staffs/owner at night just to inform them – extra 2 persons will check-in (so, we have to pay extra for these 2 friends). The staff / owner did NOT pick up her call even she tried to contact many times. That night, the staffs around the pool saw us entering the area as 8 persons together. They counting us loudly and gave us the nastiest look. The situation made us so embarrassing. We have addressed this matter on the next day with the supervisor, and still we heard bad things from the staffs (for sure, from behind the counter). What a nice weekend… *sigh*
