Short getaway to the beach
This must have been one of the most impromptu trip we’ve ever made. Last Friday, Darling and I were talking about our plans for the upcoming Raya holidays as I was telling him most of the hotels we are looking at are already fully booked and the flight tickets are soaring sky high this last minute so we may need to scrape our holiday plans and just stay home. Disappointed, he casually mentioned our trip to PD last year and we both agreed that it was a fun one considering that it is just a little over an hour’s drive from home. He took out his phone, gave the hotel a call and just like that, booked a room for us because they are running a promo that includes breakfast and buffet dinner for the family. No, we did not book a room with Lexis Hibiscus. Their promo is for room only. No breakfast and dinner. With kids around, we are too lazy to drive out to look for food.Â
I quickly packed our luggage and we are off to Port Dickson the next day :) I was not in my blogging mode so there isn’t much pictures or story to tell but just these:
An hour and a half later, we are here in Thistle PD. We got ourselves the highest room right smack in the middle facing the pool and the lovely blue sea. The kids got excited and quickly changed into their swimwear.Â
Here we are at the jacuzzi infinity pool.Â
And here are the kids at the baby pool.Â
If last year Ayden was too little to go down the slide, this year he is able to enjoy sliding down the water slide.Â
And he definitely spent longer hours in the pool now.Â
We also spend a lot of time on the beach.Â
Getting our feet slapped by the waves. I’m happy to know that Ayden is okay with sea water. He was okay last year but I am afraid he might be afraid this year but thank goodness he is okay. I even soaked him in the water and he was fine. Okay, that means he is ready for Redang :P
The game room is a disappointment though. Last year there are several game rooms around the resort. This year, there is only ONE left and it is operating without air-cond! Can you imagine how hot and stuffy it is in there? I did not let the kids stay long here as we were all sweating profusely.Â
They still have their LEGO room but it has been relocated.Â
The ball room with much lesser balls now as compared to last year. Last year we can hardly see the floor. This year I had to push all the balls to the side to be able to take this pic >_<
Ayden collecting coconuts :D
The boys having snacks while waiting for dinner. We had their BBQ buffet dinner. No food pics as I wasn’t in a blogging mode. I wanted to fully enjoy every moment and not get myself busy taking pictures.Â
The beautiful sunset view from our room.Â
There was also fireworks at night as there was a private function by the pool that night.
We had a great family time and what is most important is to see the kids (especially Ethan) happy. He has been stressed out lately due to the back-to-back of drums, piano and the school’s mid-term exam. Now that everything is over, he deserved this short break :)
looks like a great getaway! have fun :)
I love the shot where ayden seems to be enjoying the toys! hahaha. ;) i like this cute kid! :)
Nice.
Lovely sunset. So hot, no wonder you all hangus!!! I wouldn’t want to go out at all on days like this. :D
What a wonderful getaway considering it is last minute. Nice photos. I love the sunset photo as well as 2nd picture with your backs. Hehe.
You said Raya holidays? Now not Raya yet leh! So where u all will go when it is really Raya time? @.@
Stay home lah. Most of the hotels are already fully booked by now and the air tickets are so expensive. So stay home or balik kampung lor.
What I can see is……you have nice figure……wee wee!
I thought you were at the same resort with me when I saw your sunset photo in FB :P
what a great ambiance.. this is a perfect summer getaway indeed and it offers attractions for kids and adults!
is it summer in Malaysia already?? Here, the rainy season just arrived .. sigh
Great photo of Ayden in the ball pit.
Can submit for competition and Ayden will win!
