Wrapping School Books
Ethan had been unwell since Monday evening but on Tuesday insisted to go to school as his fever subsided. We allowed him because there was no point arguing with him as he was very determined and looked okay then. But he came home on Tuesday with high fever and feeling nauseous. I did not allow him to go to school on Wednesday and made him rest at home instead. He kept himself busy doing his homework when I saw these:
Oh me, oh my. His books are unwrapped!
I promised him back in January to wrap his books but never got around to do it so I made myself to sit with him today and started wrapping those books. I can’t believe it. It’s like I’ve been thrown into a time machine and sent back to early January 2015 where almost every mothers on Earth were busy wrapping books for their young children (except me).
I asked Ethan if his teachers mentioned anything about his unwrapped books and he said, “nothing”. I must be the laziest mom around for forgetting to wrap his books until today.
After about an hour or so, I managed to get this much done. I told him next year he will need to wrap them himself >_<
Exercise books also have to wrap kah? I used to wrap my girl’s textbooks and workbooks only…and then, they started selling those plastic covers…so I just bought those and recycle them every year. My own last time, I used calendars, sexy ladies one. Hehehehehe!!!!
Hahahaha. I remember wrapping books with used calendars though I don’t do that often. My time already use plastic wrappers but still got use calendars here and there lah (and brown paper too).
You are so hard-working, wrapping the exercise books. Normally ppl do not wrap exercise books.
Hope Ethan is well by now. I also collect Jay’s school works from school and get him to do his school works while he was down with hfmd last week. He is back to school since yesterday.
School holiday is just 2 days away! ;)
Is it? I thought everyone wraps their exercise books. I find exercise books are the ones always ended up looking like salted vege that’s why I wrapped them.
Get well soon Ethan!
Wrapping books reminds me of my childhood, where we will all obediently wrap the books before school starts. Since coming to Aust, no one does that anymore. haha.
Seriously? They don’t do this in Australia? That’s so cool. You don’t have ‘salted vege books’ there? haha.
No leh, I think because here there are lockers for all students. So the books don’t get trashed in the bags as much.
When I was still schooling, I only wrapped text books. Never wrapped exercise books.
Now I’m beginning to doubt if I ever wrapped my exercise books or not. Can’t remember clearly dy and after reading all comments saying they did not, I also start to wonder -.-
Kenny & I did the easier way by buying those ready-to-wrap book wrappers :P
