Ultherapy™ at The Sloane Clinic – Follow Up Consultation

I went for a follow-up consultation with regards to the Ultherapy™ treatment I did on 28 January 2015 at The Sloane Clinic, Bangsar. But before I touch more on that, here’s a little recap on Ultherapy™. Ultherapy™ is a FDA approved breakthrough procedure that uses medical ultrasound for non-surgical cosmetic improvement of the skin.  Ultherapy™ works deep below the surface – without harming the outer layer of skin-for dramatic and long-lasting benefits of facial firming, skin tightening and lifting.

About 6 weeks after my treatment, I returned to the clinic to get my after picture taken and also to get an assessment of my skin.

I was asked about my condition following the treatment. I shared with Dr Wong that I noticed some slight swelling on my jawline for a couple of days post treatment.

The above picture was taken 2 days after getting my Ultherapy™ treatment. The swelling is not very obvious and even went unnoticed except by me as I know my face well. Dr Wong explained that it is common (but not necessary) to experience slight swelling as a result of the collagen building up after the treatment. When she said ‘not necessary’ she meant that not all who goes for this treatment will experience swelling. My swelling subsided after Day 2 and goes off completely soon after that.

My skin definitely feels tighter after the procedure especially along the jaw line and on my forehead. Now let me show the BEFORE and AFTER picture comparison.

Please take note that this BEFORE and AFTER picture that I am sharing is taken using my own camera as The Sloane Clinic has a policy of not sharing out their clients’ pre and post treatment pictures to ensure privacy. The pictures are to be used during private consultation with clients only. I did get to view the official picture during my consultation but I did not get a soft copy of it. Their pictures are more or less similar as mine but are brighter as they used flash while mine is taken without flash.

My eyebrow make-up was not removed in the AFTER picture while with the BEFORE picture my make-up was completely removed hence the difference of eyebrows in both pic. Please ignore my eyebrows and let’s focus on my skin.

While it is obvious that my skin is definitely tighter, what is more satisfying is that my face actually looks slimmer now. I can see that the lower part of my cheek is less droopy and the bottom half of my face along my jawline is slimmer. My skin is also not as dull as before. That’s not all. The best part is I am not even getting the full effect of the procedure yet as it is only 6 weeks post treatment while the full effect will build gradually over the course of two to three months.
