Ayden’s 1st birthday celebration continues…
Ayden celebrated his first birthday twice. First in Malacca with my parents, family and friends and another time with my in-laws. Again, we got him another cute cake. This time it is a single tiger cake.
Tiger Cake. 2.15kg moist chocolate cake with chocolate ganache.
We went for a private dinner at Restoran Loon Sing in Nilai with my in-laws. My in-laws love this place. We dined here like so many times dy. Chinese New Year here, whatever occassions also here. Food here ok ok lah, we can make our bookings earlier and come just on time for them to serve us so we need not wait long.Â

Ayden super love this cake. Maybe because he can see the tiger clearly. He kept smiling at it.
Ayden laughed out loud when the flame was blown off the candle. He finds it very amusing I guess. Candles these days are super expensive. The one like this costs around RM13.90 so to get your money’s worth, make sure you let it burn until habis >_<
Ethan aimed for the tail from the very beginning and got it. What Ethan wants, Ethan gets -.-
Now let’s take a look at the food we had.
Pork Belly with Mantao.Â
There wasn’t enough mantao to go around so we ordered more but it only came at the end of our dinner so we sent it back. Pork also no more dy for what the mantao now..
I don’t know what this dish is because again, there wasn’t enough to go around. I heard there are 3 types of seafood in this dish but I did not get to try them. We ordered Large but they wrongly served us Small.

Food wise I think it’s so-so only, nothing fancy to shout about. We could do with more food though coz I wasn’t bursting at the seams but when asked to order more food everyone was like, ‘enough. full dy’. Why so paiseh? I wasn’t full but maybe that’s because I did not eat the steamed white rice >_< But memang I don’t like rice. I don’t mind having some fried noodles though. Slurp!
But what I like about this place is that we dined in their private room so the kids have ample space to run about.Â
Ayden for one was very active that evening. Maybe because he had enough sleep or the cake made him hyper! He kept running everywhere! Darling chasing after Ayden while I stuffed my face with more chocolate cake -.-
We headed home to PJ immediately after dinner and that’s the end of Ayden’s birthday celebration. 2 cakes, 2 dinners, I think is enough? I don’t think so. I want something quiet. Something for only the four of us. Ethan gets to go to PD on his birthday last month so we are thinking of going for a retreat to somewhere nearby and…. yes! I’ve just confirmed a 3D/2N getaway this weekend.
It’s Thursday now and we’ll be leaving on Friday. Pack, pack, pack… Can you guess where are we going? Hint: It’s Ethan’s favourite place but Ayden has never been there. I guess it’s time to bring Ayden there :D

Tiger must be his favourite animal. Yup those candles are pretty expensive. Bought once for my girl before.
Yummy dishes especially the pork belly. But oh dear, food not enogh to go around? Poor thing.
Only few steps at a time. He practised a lot in his cot. Always walking from one end to the other. Fall also ok coz got mattress :)

Can really tell from the photos that Ayden really loves the tiger cake. He was smiling at it in all the photos. Did Ethan say whether the tiger’s tail was tasty or not? The tail is made from fondant, right?
There is a Loon Sing restaurant in Kuchai Lama (taken over another restaurant premises a few years back). I have not been there before and wonder whether the food is tasty or not. I know Loon Sing Nilai is well known for their Buddha jump over the wall dish which I have not tasted before either.
Oh. I’m not sure if we tried that Buddha Jumps Over The Wall dish during CNY or not. I remembered having some kind of soup with lots of things in it but dunno if that’s the one. Next trip there will try to order that :)
