Ayam Kampung
We were back at my in-law’s yesterday evening. Ayden the adventurer did not want to stand still and preferred to walk around so I brought him outside instead.
Ayden playing with stones while the big brother Ethan was eating in the house.
It was also Ayden’s first time seeing real, live chickens.
He was so fascinated looking at the KungKung feeding those chickens. We did not let him enter the chicken coop though because I know he’ll squat down to pick up poop covered dried leaf! :O
Chickens were running freely everywhere. When I mentioned to my friends that Ayden saw chickens for the very first time, a friend of mine said that I made it sound like as if we are in Singapore where we need to go to the zoo to be able to see chickens! Haha!
But true what. These days where can the kids see chickens running around freely anymore? Now, now, can anybody answer Ayden? If you ask me why did the chickens cross the road? I’ll simply answer, ‘coz they are running away from us lah…. ‘ Apa lagi ayam mau?
The chicken just want to be at the other side of the road! Correct or not?
It is true. Kids nowadays are deprived of nature and those wonderful things. Once my kids were given 2 ducklings to keep as pet. Lol.
Ayden can walk well. My Jamie still wobble and not steady.
Yes Ayden can walk very well now, even running a little. Ethan was later at close to 14 months. But Ethan started talking faster at 10 months. So all kids are different. Just go with their pace :D
Only in the kampung that we can still chickens around. I guess most singapore
kids are deprive of watching live chicken too. Not even in the wet market.
My kids dont even go to wet market. I dont go to wet market :(
Because the cock’s on the other side? Hehehehehehe!!!!
Your boy’s very alert and active – will be very smart. Many Asian parents force their kids to sit down, keep quiet, shut up – that’s bad. They’re curious, they want to know, that’s how they learn.
:O LoL!
Yes, we definitely should not shut them up. At this stage I like to listen and watch him and I’ve discovered that he has learn so much. He’s curious alright. As curious as a cat!
“The chickens scared of you lah Ayden!” :D
LOL your photos create a feel that he is inside the prison, longing to be set free!
Good thing my son still can go back to his grandparents’ home and also great grandparents to see livestock – ayam, kambing, lembu. hihihi
Ayam kampung, sedap!
my mom used to be rare chickens too at our house but they all were kept in cage :)
I can’t help admiring Ayden’s hair in the photo, the hair at the back of his head, at his nape is getting curly. The chickens crossed the road because they are running everywhere – free and happy until it is time for chicken soup! :D
Actually I have seen chickens running freely around the car park of The Store in Sri Petaling and it makes me wonder where do the chickens come from. So here also we can see chicken running freely.
