Nook @ Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral
If there is ONE place my family loves dining at it is at the urban-inspired designed Nook, Aloft Kuala Lumpur because there’s ‘fireworks’ all the time!
Can you see the beautiful ‘fireworks’ lights? Ethan and Ayden can marvel at them the whole night long!
It’s that time of the year where restaurants everywhere get ready to usher in Ramadhan and Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is one of the first we attended with the A-list Malaysian feast – a feast with sumptuous and delectable spread to be savoured with our loved ones, family and friends. We sampled traditional local Malay delicacies, succulent barbecue, seafood delights and juicy roasted whole lamb.
The A-list Malaysian Feast is created by Chef Steven Seow and his team, offering Chef’s star dishes such as Stuffed Whole Lamb Kuzi served with Nasi Briyani, Vegetable Dhall, Cucumber and Pineapple Acar, Papadom, and Mint-Tomato Yoghurt, Nasi Lemak, Satay, Rendang Ayam, Roasted Whole Chicken with Green Peppercorn Sauce, served with Local Market Buttered Vegetables and more.
Nook, Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral’s signature dish, the Sarawak Laksa. Their Sarawak Laksa here is so good that it’s not advisable to share. We all have a bowl (or more) each. I can dine here just for their laksa!
Sarawakians will have their laksa with the air dried noodles but I prefer mine no frills with rice noodles.
Darling’s Sarawak Laksa with lots of condiments.
Their Sarawak Laksa here is really good. Seriously.
The buffet line-up offers an extensive selection of Malay dishes and regional specialities, along with appetisers, salad, condiments, breads, soups, main dishes, action counters and desserts.
We started our dinner with some dates. What’s Ramadan without dates right? The dates here are so sweet and rich I love it!
The Malay Herbs Rice blows me away. There is nothing not to like about the nasi ulam. It is simply delicious, aromatic, healthy, and extremely appetizing.
Petai!
Beef Kurma
Beef Stew
Prawn
Ulams
My family went ga-ga over their ice-cream potong. It has been a while since we last had them that I dedicated an entire post just for it. Read about it here.
The buffet spread at Nook has a good mix of western, malay, and oriental chinese dishes. Priced at RM100nett per person and early bird is available from now until 27 June at RM80nett per voucher! Chef’s A-List Malaysian Feast is available from 30 June till 26 July 2014.
