Birthday celebration at Grand Dorsett Subang
Today, is my birthday! Haha.. I know you already know :P But one thing is for sure, you don’t know how OLD I am. That shall be kept a secret ^_^
This year, we celebrated my birthday grandly several days earlier in the heart of Subang Jaya in Grand Dorsett Subang. Just a couple of months ago we were here celebrating our wedding anniversary but that time we did not stay.
We love the thick carpet and the brightly lit corridors.
Our room is very spacious. Even with that King size bed, we still have plenty of room to run around. We love the ultra modern look of this newly refurbished room.
The welcome fruit tray <3
Darling’s favourite resting spot.
Our room with see-through bath! Romantic max! Of course you can choose to bring down the blinds if you are shy but shy is never in our vocabulary :P
I can see Darling from the washroom :D
Ethan on the other hand, is glued to the 32 inch LCD TV! He doesn’t watch TV at home but every time we are in hotels, he’ll get glued to Cartoon Network! Urm, but that is a bear he’s watching so I’m sure that’s not Cartoon Network :D
I’m so thankful to see the iron and hair-dryer here. I can’t live without a hair-dryer and the iron is handful to press Darling’s shirt.
Complimentary coffee and tea making facilities.
After checking-in, we proceeded to the Terazza Brasserie (the hotel’s most popular dining venue) for lunch.
It’s our forth or fifth time dining here. It is located not too far from our house so we love to come here to celebrate special occasions :)
Ethan happily made his own ice kacang while I have my tuna and cheese sandwich. Darling had rice from the buffet spread while Ethan and I indulged in their seafood lasagna. The seafood lasagna is to die for!
In the evening, we were very lucky to catch the Christmas Carolers singing traditional Christmas songs. During dinner, we caught the carolers again as they spread the Christmas cheers in the Terazza.
After dinner, we took a less than 5 minutes drive to Sunway to enjoy their Christmas street lighting.
You can read all about the beautiful night lighting here.
The next morning, we had dimsum buffet for breakfast at The Emperor’s. The Emperor Grand Dorsett serves authentic Cantonese cuisine as well as an extensive a la carte dishes.
Ethan’s favourite is the loh mai kai with juicy mushroom and tender chicken meat. I love the lotus root soup while Darling cant help taking seconds and third helpings of the ginkgo barley drink.
Besides stuffing ourselves silly with the delicious array of food in Grand Dorsett, we had a great time playing in the long bath in our room too.
It was a wonderful 24 hours, just dining, lazying and enjoying the comfort of our posh room.
Thank you Grand Dorsett for your warm hospitality. We’ll definitely return for more celebrations in the future :)
Today, on my real birthday, Darling surprised me with a cake.. and a TREE! Yeah.. he bought me a TREE for my birthday! What a CLIMAX to my birthday celebration! >_<
