Sprinkling FUN time
I spoke to my Std 1, 2 and 3 students and asked them what do they do in school during art lessons. They answered me, “Not much”. They did mostly colouring. Not very creative aren’t they, the art lessons?
The other day in the Studio, I cut some shapes out of hard board and placed them on a drawing block. I asked the kids to guess what we will be doing that day but none of them can tell me..
What we did was a very classic art fun – dipping and rubbing the toothbrush bristles to create sprinkling dots on the paper.
Can you see how excited Ethan was? I was surprised to learn that none of the kids did this form of art in school before! So I just let them splash and create a mess. The messier, the better :D
Ethan trying to sprinkle some colours onto his paper. He did this before back in 2009. He made a train out of this. Want to know how? Read about it here.
Tah-dah! Ten minutes of pure FUN (and mess :P)
ah.. I remember doing this during my school days!! hehehe..
My girls get to do all these in their outside art lessons. They did handcraft with clay, water colour and crayon. My girls love going to their art lessons once every week.
Yeah, reminds me of my schooling days too….it’s fun for the kids!
hahaha i used to play this too! maybe nowadays the art teacher dowan all the troublesome like cleaning up.. so… all cut down to coloring only =.=
My daughter loved that when she was small.
i used to play with sprinkling art last time. but i used blowing technique in fact, with more colors :D
