Our Amazing Anniversary Getaway at Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie

Oct 22 2011. It was our 6th Wedding Anniversary and we were treated to a lavish getaway courtesy of Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie. Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie sits on 350-acres of lush tropical greenery and overlooking two world-class 18-hole golf courses.

We were greated by Mr. Ramis Chandran, Front Office Manager. With a superbly quick check-in, we were lead to our room. Our luggages were swiftly taken care off by the bellboy.

We entered the room with awe. The large and cosy bed is so inviting! Ethan wanted to just jump and roll on the bed but we had to stop him as I wanted to take some shots of the room first! :D A blogger will always be a blogger be it on our special anniversary or anything! Hehe…

The pillows came with a choice of either FIRM or SOFT. Ethan chose SOFT while both Darling and I chose FIRM.

SOFT pillow for Ethan. I so love their pillows. They hug my head so snuggly when I sleep! I’m so tempted to smuggle a pillow out upon check-out! But I did NOT okay? :P

Finally he gets to enjoy the bed! Look at his expression, pure happiness!

I super love their spacious washroom. I don’t have to squeeze myself like crazy in here. I can even DANCE in front of that super size mirror!

Toiletries. The ginger and lemon fragrance toiletries are so refreshing I feel like spa-ing!

The best part of our room is it opens up to a huge balcony with a panoramic view of the lush 18-hole golf course!

I came out of shower and caught Darling and Ethan enjoying a lovely moment at the balcony. I love this shot! PRICELESS!

We took a leisurely stroll to the swimming pool in the evening and saw some people preparing for a beautiful garden wedding.

We spent a wonderful two hours there splashing, playing and having the greatest time of our lives :D

We went back to the room to shower before heading to The Mix for our dinner.

We had a fine-dining experience at The Mix with some surprises in store. I was moved to tears but THAT will be told in another entry. Look out for it soon!

After what had been a wonderful night, we went back to our room and retire for the night in our cozy bed. Because it was THAT comfortable, we overslept and only go for breakfast at The Kites Restaurant at 10am!

They serve breakfast up to 10.30am. We went there at 10am! @_@ That will also be told in another entry as I like to keep this entry solely about our amazing stay in Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie. We took some photos before checking out.

Ethan took this photo of Darling and I. The staffs here are super friendly and helpful. Each time they see Ethan taking pic of Darling and I, they’ll come to offer some help to take our family picture :D

After a memorable stay here, we reluctantly packed-up to make our way to the check-out counter. As soon as we stepped out of our room, a friendly staff who happens to walk pass us offered to help us with our luggage. I have to say that I’m impressed with the hospitality over here. They really go all out to make their guests feel at home.

Happy Anniversary to both of you! I see Ethan flapping happily in the pool now.. :) Still remember he was very reluctant in the pool at Philea Resort last time!

Holiday Inn has always been one of my faves since child. And now that I'm based in KL, a return to Holiday Inn Glenmarie for my sanity getaway is always good. Love the firm pillow and I wish I can take it home with me.

Wah so shiok! We'll be staying in this hotel next month too :) We bought the hotel package some time ago and it includes a nights' stay at the Crowne Plaza in KL too (I just blogged about it ;))

Looks nice also this Holiday Inn Glenmarie… I thought it's rather old and rundown hehe. They must have given you their most premium room? The Kites restaurant also so-so only… we've been dining there like 3 times already (we have so many of their dining vouchers).
