Trudy & Teddy’s leather footwear

*Sticky post for 48 hours*

Since we first got introduced to Trudy & Teddy’s apparel somewhere in April this year, we’ve been a die-hard fan! If you noticed, Ethan has been wearing T&T to many events that we have attended this year. Reason being not only is Trudy & Teddy a stylish apparel for my little vain pot, it is also ultra comfortable. Another obvious reason is also because he won the Little Best Dresser contest back in June and with the winning RM500 worth of prize coupled with the attire he wore during the fashion parade that we got to keep, he now has enough of Trudy & Teddy apparels to last him until the end of this year! :D

But one thing that he DOESN’T have enough of is their shoes. He could use more shoes, say one for each day of the week :P

Imagine our delight when we found out about Trudy & Teddy’s leather footwear!

Okay, so the soft leather bootie is the ideal choice to protect the cute little feet of newborns up to 1 year as they are made from soft natural leather but what about Ethan? No worry as Trudy & Teddy has leather footwear for kids up to 4 years old.

I’ve always refrained getting leather footwear for Ethan as I fear that it might hurt his little feet. I’m also concerned that it might be too hot and his feet will be all wet and smelly :(  Thank goodness the genuine calf leather used in making T&T footwear is a highly breathable material that contains hair cells allowing the feet to respire; suitable for our humid and warm weather.

Aww… he’s just so excited to have new footwear! :D

I like the unique construction features of Trudy & Teddy’s leather footwear especially the ideal shoe forehead length to prevent tripping. This is especially important for my clumsy pot who trips at the slightest uneven surface! :D

Can you believe it? When Ethan was a toddler I don’t see such nice designs in the market! I was looking high and low for smart leather footwear as we had several weddings to attend back then :(

Anyway, you know what happens when William first got his hands on Ethan’s shoes this time? It’s a mistake to get shoes WITHOUT having the kid with you. I told William to get a size bigger than Ethan’s current Trudy & Teddy as I thought it would be good to have something bigger so he can wear it longer…

Mana tau! The new T&T even though a size bigger than the previous T&T, is actually SMALLER in size compared to the previous T&T footwear! Why is that so? Because different type of shoe construction has different sizes. NOW I know.. after being taught how to choose the right footwear size after that incident -_-

Let me share with you tips on choosing the right footwear size

Even at the same age, the size and fit of a shoe will vary from a child to another.

–        I can’t go shopping and catch a kid nearby to ask him how old is he in order to estimate the shoe size of the kid we intend to buy the shoe for!

What we can do however is..

• Get the little one standing up with his weight resting evenly on both feet. Foot measurement should be from the tip of the toe to the heel with an additional of a baby’s thumb width.

• With that measurement, refer to Trudy & Teddy’s shoe chart to get the right size for your kid.

Now I won’t get it wrong dy lah! :P
