Playfully sticky sweet & spicy @ Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

I was in Mid Valley that day when I got his message inviting for makan-makan. Since I have nothing to do that night, I agreed and there we were, a bunch of hungry people in Popeyes at e@Curve.

Popeyes opened Malaysia’s first outlet in Taman Tun Dr Ismail in February 2009, and now has a total of 9 outlets located at Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Sunway Pyramid, Mid Valley, Wangsa Walk, Klang Parade, e@Curve, Selayang Mall, The Mines Shopping Fair and Jalan Yap Kwan Seng.

The first thing that caught my eyes was this Sticky Wicked Chicken not because it is offered for a limited time only but because of the arrangement. It looks like as if the sticky wicked chicken is giving me the middle finger! :P Wicked to the max I’d say! LoL!

Popeyes Sticky Wicked Chicken is thin strips of tender, juicy, all-white meat chicken marinated in authentic Louisiana seasonings, hand-battered and breaded then freshly tossed in a special sweet and spicy sauce and is served up twisted, curly and wicked!

This fun, unique, STICKY boneless chicken tossed in a flavorful new sauce gives Popeyes fans a bold flavour not found anywhere else. I’d grab some before heading for movies in the future! :D

Besides the Sticky Wicked Chicken, we also had Bonafide Chicken. If other chicken chain will get you licking your fingers, this Bonafide Chicken will get you licking its bones! :P

The biscuit that comes with the meal. Taken with jam, this biscuit is scrumptious!

Ethan had the Fried Fish Fillet. Ethan loves fish and he definitely loves this. He ate the entire 2 pieces of fillets!

Look at the flaky fish. I love it too :D

Besides the fried fish fillet, we also had shrimps. These shrimps are eaten like popcorn! They are so cute and bite-sized that you’ll just keep on popping them into your mouth and without realising it, you’ve eaten the entire ‘bucket’! @_@

The mash potato is something to shout about as it has minced meat in the gravy! Yummy to my tummy!

The Cajun Battered Fries are shiok-a-licous! I tried to stay away from it but my fingers kept stuffing them into my mouth! =_=

If you can’t live without rice, Popeyes serves pretty good rice dishes too. I tried the Popcorn Shrimp Rice bowl and was reminded of those shrimps that I’ve just popped into my mouth earlier! Now my tummy is full of shrimps!

The best part is as I scooped really deep inside, I found red beans! I love red beans and this is simply amazing!

So after having all of the above, I still have that urge to try their sandwich as I simply LOVE sandwiches! I opt for the Shrimp Sandwich (shrimp again! :P) and it did not disappoint me. I love my sandwich with lots of greens and this comes with lots of fresh lettuce and tomato slices.

I needed to have something to wash down all those and opted for the Ice Lemon tea instead of the carbonated drinks. It’s always refreshing to gulp down ice lemon tea and this is no exception :D

What do you know, we still have room for desserts! Among the tiramisu, chocolate cheese and strawberry cheese, I love the chocolate cheese! Thumbs up! :D

Did I have anything else after all those? You’ve got to be kidding me.. I wish I could but I had to surrender-lah! How much food can get into the petite Submerryn?

hmmmm, i never can imagine anything from that chicken fingers lor.. middle finger pointing at you?? you are really good in imagination, hahahahahaha!! but having that said, i actually like Popeye fried chicken, it's my next alternatives to KFC..

oh.. I now opted for Popeyes instead of the 'K' brand.. must more satisfying.. just that their outlets are still limited, and I got to drive a distance to eat it!
