"A Touch of Comfort with Kleenex" Mom’s Day Out

Five mommy bloggers got a much deserved “Touch of Comfort” from Kleenex at a half-day parenting and pampering session which featured Datuk Sheila Majid as a special guest speaker yesterday. Held at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, I went alone without Ethan. Darling was such a DARLING! He took care of Ethan while I was spa-ing away (^_^)

Getting my hand massaged. Bliss! Should have given us a leg massage instead considering the distance we had to walk to the Villa! :P

I was then presented with a rose after the pampering session. SWEET!

This event was organised in conjunction with the recent launch of a newly-improved range of Kleenex Facial and Bath Tissues.

Addressing the role of comfort in child development, the speakers concurred that comfort in the form of safely, emotional security and overall feelings of well-being, is a very important factor in parenting. Asked what her interpretation of comfort is, Sheila said, “Going HOME”. Home is after all, where the heart is :D

“Children need to feel loved and secure in order to grow up as stable, well-adjusted individuals, able to show affection and feel empathy for others” said Selina Ding.

“Parents are the decision makers in providing a comfortable environment for their children to grow and learn,” explained Charis Patrick.

“Comfort is also a very important part of our daily lives, regardless of our age – we choose those things that are comforting and comfortable, from clothes and soft toys to sofa sets and plush pillows, and even the type of tissue we use. Hence, we understand the importance of comfort for the entire family”, added Terence Fu.

After the Q&A and lucky draw, we had a group activity on how to make a tissue flower bouquet as decors for our home. We were also given a gift bag with all the materials inclusive the pot and gold dust to make our own tissue flower bouquet.
