The Birthday surprise

On the 2 December I received an email from Nuffnang wishing me a very happy birthday :D That’s way so early as my birthday falls at the end of December :P

But what’s best is that I was ONE of the lucky recipients to be receiving FOUR complementary passes for any movie at TGV outlets nationwide courtesy of TGV Cinemas! If you haven’t heard, TGV Cinemas is giving out 1,000 complimentary passes every month to random lucky Nuffnangers celebrating their birthday!

So I got my passes, all four of them but were too busy to catch any movie until…

25 December 2010. We spent Christmas day watching Narnia at TGV 1Utama :D Fairly entertaining, Narnia was an OK choice :D

With a tub full of popcorn in hand, Ethan was all ready for movies! I like TGV’s popcorn as they come in tubs. I dislike popcorn being served in paper bags as chances of them spilling out is rather high as they can’t stand on its own unlike the more stable tub :D

Then on the 30/12/2010, we watched Gulliver. Highly disappointing I would say. Jack Black was trying too hard. The jokes are so lame it couldn’t tickle your funny bone even if you give them a feather!

With a pick-up line that goes, “Hey Slim, I should call you Potamus as you have no.. Hip!” you know the movie is headed for doom! I should have chosen the more hilarious Little Fockers instead! :P

Nevertheless, we enjoyed the couple of movie outings courtesy of TGV Cinemas and Nuffnang. Thank you both for making my birthday month a great one! :D

You are one lucky mom. Wish the lucky star keep shining on you in 2011.And, thanks for The Musical of Peter Pan's voucher. We went to watch it on 30/12/2010, and my girl Shenny loves it so much. Thanks again.

So many gifts for your birthday…lucky girl. ;) We brought Gwen to watch Gulliver's Travel too, Gwen actually laughed at Jack Black's silly antics and moves..haha..but she got bored in the middle of the movie.
