My iPhone landed me in trouble :(

Remember how I won an apple recently? If you are friends with me on Facebook you would have known that I posted several times that I do not know how to use it. My VY boss was even more so cheeky to give me a call and when I answered the first thing he said was, “Can answer ah?” I was like, “Huh?” He said since I do not know how to use the phone, he expects me not to know how to answer the call! @_@ Bwek :P

OK, on a more serious note here however, I’ve done something really stupid that might have caused me BIG trouble!

First thing you need to know here is Darling bought the iPhone 4 WITHOUT signing up for any data package. Now.. let’s read what else happened.

The first thing Darling did after giving me the iPhone 4 was to convert our Streamyx to wi-fi. We managed to get that done and woo~lah I was happily browsing and all from my iPhone. I can now go on Facebook, MSN, Twitter and more from my iPhone and even in my sleep I’ll be kept updated :D Very happy indeed right? Wrong!

What I do not know was that each time the notifications come in, I’ll be charged! Alright, that is not the end of the world yet. What happened yesterday was beyond stupid I tell you.

Since I know my home is now on wi-fi, I happily took my iPhone and started going online, reading blogs and all. What I do NOT know is, Darling has actually switched off the wi-fi mode on my iPhone. So all the while I was online, I was actually using Cellular Data! Cue : Shout in HORROR!

I only realised it this morning before going to the Studio but was unable to do anything as class was about to begin so I just have to temporarily brush it out of my mind :(

Only after my class ends that I took my iPhone and started ‘studying‘ it. I came across this thing called ‘SETTINGS‘

I tapped on it and it brought me to this page. I tapped on ‘GENERAL‘

And it brought me to this page. So I tapped on ‘NETWORK‘

And here I am. I tapped on ‘OFF‘ for Cellular Data… :(

I quickly sms-ed Irene to ask her what are my damages and her hubs called me back shortly after…. Now, I’ll just have to wait to see how much my stupidity has caused me :(

Yeah, so if you’ve seen me on FB you’ll know that I also have posted this:

Darling.. before you get your phone bill this month, REMEMBER… I love you very much.. That is all that MATTERS!

are you on postpaid? If yes, you can check online. Btw, just to let u know, I m on Cellular Data and my monthly expenses is rm1k++ *pengsan* but that bill is paid by the company.

Look on the bright side. You know your phone better after this. The big damage is accidental. It's gonna be a temporary scream but the three lovely words will calm things down.Talking about technology!

Wah, new HP. Better turn off the celular, bill….can pengsan lorr if you don't subscribe to package….some apps would auto connect through cellular.

You need to get on DiGi's iphone plan immediately. It is practically unlimited for data/internet, while the free calls/sms quota applies for calls to all other operators.DiGi's iPhone plans that also include the iPhone price over a 24 month contract period still works out cheaper than getting your own phone (or even if it's free), getting a standard postpaid line, and then getting a data plan on top of it.I was previously on a very good postpaid plan plus data plan on my old phone. When I decided to get the iPhone together with the iPhone plan, my monthly bills now are lower than when I had my previous phone with same average calls/SMS, and the price of my iPhone is even already bundled in.

I think there is a cap of RM250 now no matter how much you've used. Try checking with Maxis.

HAHHAHA! Surprise. That is why I never let my hubby disturb my phone and me his. I just got new Blackberry, still learning how to use it. So you can say I am Blackberry dummy! :p

Sometimes, we need to learn the hard way. =(It sure will be very expensive! Luckily my iphone plan got the data bundled to it. Make a nice dinner, before showing hubby the bills. =PGood luck!!
