*******
The Prime Minister has called it “A Budget by The Rakyat” because it will for the first time incorporate the views of Malaysians who have sent their comments to his blog. His blog, www.1malaysia.com.my, was flooded with over 1,000 comments in just under two weeks after he called on the public to express their wishes for the upcoming Budget.
See how blogs play a very important role these days?
“I have personally read these comments. Some of you who have contributed comments to my blog, will be able to recognise your ideas, or a hybrid of those ideas in the Budget.”
“The goal of this Budget is to set the pace for the transformation of Malaysia into a developed and high-income economy by 2020.”
“Simply by participating in the exercise, you have contributed to the process of transforming our nation. Thank you for your input,” he said in his blog yesterday.
“Let us continue to work even harder and together propel the country to a higher level of growth and prosperity.
“We did it before and I am confident we can do it again even better,” said the Prime Minister.
Well, for a stay at home mother such as me, I don’t really know how much the 2011 Budget will affect us but Darling is keen to get the latest updates. I bet he will be listening to the radio a lot today, he does that every year!
I on the other hand, get my latest updates of the Belanjawan 2011 @ Bajet 2011 from my favourite news portal – The Star.

I only wish for a price drop for most consumer products and also increase in salary!! XD
Eric – Increase in salary you have to ask from your BOSS unless you are working with the Government :P
Never mind about budget lah, after all it is only for a year, shiok shiok also one year, after that naik naik naik lagi, good lah, rokok naik harga, beer naik harga, they say they want to achieve developled nation by 2020, just look at our per capita income, mana boleh jadi lol

Well I putting hope in education, public transport.
Hope it's a good one.
Me too, I would rather reaad about the budget announcement from the newspaper rather than listening to the radio. Hehehe….just can't make time to sit and listen to the radio for a long time. Anyway, I hope the gov tax for credit card will be abolished by 2011.
Well, we'll get to know soon enough… Whatever it is lah – anything that is good for the country and the people. Pay rise…and prices shoot up more than double, also no use. Something to boost interest rates…to encourage savings would be good.
I never read this kind of govt news…but my husband is keen to know more and I believe he has been reading from THE STAR online on this news.
I also hope it's a good one with more emphasis on the plight of the citizens, basic necessities and facilities, upgrades and maintenance – improving the quality of life in Malaysia per say. ;)
