The staircase is not the place for…
sleeping! If you are a smart parent, you will NEVER let your kid sleep on the stairway! Being a first time mother I was ‘a little bit’ stupid then, I did not get any child safety gates at all for our home. Back then, Ethan was afraid of plush toys. I placed dinosaur and lion plush toys at the sides of the stairway thinking that they will scare him away. True enough, whenever he crawled towards the staircase and saw those animals, he will back away.
But on one particular day he overcame his fear and unknowingly to me, he had ventured half way up the staircase and fell asleep there. My heart skipped a beat when I saw him sleeping there like that! After placing him in his baby cot I immediately browsed for stairway gates.
It is always better to be safe than sorry. If you are about to welcome a baby into your home, make sure you baby proof your house. Check for sharp corners, tangling hazard wires and don’t ever forget your baby gate!
Wah…Ethan so tired. Anywhere also can sleep. hahaActually, the stairgate is useless at my home. It can be quite dangerous too when the kid shake and pull. The whole thing might toppled down and crush them. I have them but did not use them.
last time i had a wooden stairgate..
Dunno why kids love doing that. Never mind, they usually will be ok. Chinese say – fall down, then only will grow bigger! Hahahahaha!!!!
Wow so young and tender age trying to learn to be the 'fall guy stunt man'? Seems like Ethan can sleep in whichever, whatever, however position haha.
whoa very dangerous one! my lil bro last time really tergolek u noe. lucky he's fine. :(
Sorry to say but he looks kinda cute like tat XD
wah.. really can sleep everywhere…I don't hv stairgate and put dinasour pic which he scared on the staircase.. it works.. :)
hahahhahah…he is cute, but of course it is dangerous! I think kids just love to sleep on the stairs? I remember i read before, one mummy's kid love to sleep on the stairs and drink his milk.
Wah…. very adventurous kid, cool boy! Mommy's heart must have fell off to the ground at that very moment when you found him dangling on the staircase. LOL!^-^Have a wonderful weekend!
