The Dinner
This year, my in-laws had their Chinese New Year eve dinner out of the house. We went to Restaurant Shengee in Mantin..
And that was practically IT! No more food came after that! We waited until 8.40pm, still no food. Everyone was getting rather restless (not forgetting – HUNGRY – ). Contemplated leaving the place.. but..Food came.. Not in the correct order though. The soup came first, then the fish, then the appetiser, then the vege..
All together now… taaaaatttt taaattt's all folks! LOL…Well, at least you dun get fuck off by your hubby for not helping in the kitchen like I kena. Sway nia…get chased out say I never help. Lucky BIL and SIL was there to make me feel more at ease… else…i dunno lah!
Great reunion dinner. :) Too bad the food came a bit too late.
Why the restaurant like that making you all wait long long for the dishes to come out? I would surely complain! : )
i think hor CNY all like tat wan. cialat wan. every year the same. if given us, we sudah bising masuk kitchen! hahaha.. but so far the place we go all OK lagi. haha! u so bored till u take pic of yr handphone ah? hahaha!
Oh? Why are dinners so slow around CNY time? Here also… Attended a wedding banquet – 1st two dishes took an hour each to be served!!! Not a good time to eat out, I guess.
so nice to hv the reunion dinner with yr in-laws. Too bad my PIL passed on many years ago.
Dinner always slow during CNY :(
Mine was the opposite, the dishes came out so fast that we havent even finished swallowing yet, the next one has arrived.. all finished in an hour and a half.. cos they have the next round coming in half hour's time.. the faster the customers go off, the better…
Own house is the most comfortable place ot be… :) Steamboat day and night… haha. I'll avoid eating out during CNY EVE untill the CNY ends…
Only reason I could think of is lack of staff & chef to have caused the delay and kelam kabut. Think whatever order of the dishes does not matter then just wallop whatever is served right? Hungry person man is an angry person haha.
that's a looong wait for the 2nd dish.
try western next time. not so pack.
cleffairy – No comment :PMummy Gwen – Sigh.. :)foong – I'd leave if not for the rest.. hahaha..Irene – You dunno oni what other pictures I've taken! I can burst my memory card right there and then.. :PSTP – I kenot comment lor. Coz at their house oso I tak tolong masak… :(
wenn – I'm sorry.smallkucing – First time eating out on the eve…claire – I missed the reunion dinners held at MY parents place.. :(Linda – Oh yes.. give me steamboat anytime!!!!!!Bananaz – Next time, I shud bring along a bunch of bananas to fill up our tummy while waiting :DIvy – Yup… way too long..Lil lamb – My PIL going western? Joke of the century i tell u :D
usually eat out during chinese new year, have to prepare for the food to come late. I remember one week before cny, we went for "sau gong" dinner with family. After "lou sang" we have to wait so long for our dish to come. :( But food come not in order look a bit funny lei? hahahaha
@Wenn… u wan PIL ah? Please trade place with me. LOL…Woi… everyone out there… who wanna have the feeling being 'sayang' by MIL? Kindly contact me to trade place wif me! Wakakakakaka!
Never mind, as long as the food came then it is alright. ;p
