Google AdSense – Payment through Western Union

AdSense payments are made on a monthly schedule. If your account balance reaches USD$100.00 in any month, they’ll send your payment before the end of the following month, provided there are no holds on your account. For example, if your account balance reaches the payment threshold during November, they’ll send you a payment at the end of December.

You may choose your form of payment to be either Western Union Quick Cash or Check. I chose Western Union Quick Cash as payments will be available for pick-up the day after the payment dateas opposed to Standard Delivery checks that are sent by regular mail and should arrive within 2-3 weeks of the mailing date or Secured Express Delivery checks are sent via courier and should arrive within 1 week. Why take the risk of losing the check during delivery?Western Union Quick Cashis a payment method that allows you to receive your AdSense payments in cash using the worldwide Western Union money transfer service. Payments will be available for pick up at your local Western Union Agent the day after they are sent according to our normal payment schedule.This means that you won’t have to wait for a check to arrive in the mail. Choosing to receive your payments by Western Union can also cut down on the bank fees and long clearing times associated with depositing checks.

Your Western Union Quick Cash payment will be made in US dollars. However, at most Western Union Agent locations, you may have the option to receive your payment in your local currency. Conversion rates will be calculated according to the rate used by the Western Union Agent on the day you pick up your payment.

My account balance reaches the payment threshold in November so I eagerly waited for December to get my payment. The only fault I did was not to check the Payment History in my Google AdSense account. I thought they will email me once they have processed and released the payment. But no, they did not. By the time I got tired of waiting, I became ‘smarter‘ and checked the Payment History only to be told that they have indeed made payment on 23 December 2009. My money has been sitting there idle laying empty eggs for more than 2 weeks now :)

Today, I went to the nearest bank with Western Union facility. How do you know if that bank has Western Union facility? Look for this sign as shown below:

I went to CIMB Bank. Wait! Before you go, there are certain information you need to have with you. You need to have the
* Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN)
* Amount in Payment Currency
* Your government issued ID (Passport, Driver’s License, National ID, etc) Our MyKad~lah!
* Sender’s information.

Once you are there, take this yellow form and fill it up. Very easy. For those of you who are so used to online banking and find that filling form is a culture shock, the nice lady at the information counter will guide you on how to hold your pen and do it :DOnce your form is properly filled, take a queue number and wait for your turn. When your turn comes, just present the form and your ID card and within minutes, you’ll get your payment in your local currency! Woo lah! You are now a few hundred bucks richer and happier! Go home and blog about it like as if others find it interesting to read! Next, wipe that silly smile off your face and go offline and sleep! =^^=

And then… wait patiently for your next payment threshold… :D

hey,, thank you for the info, may be you can start a forum here amoung us on how to make duit from adsense from blogging..and those of you who make good can share with us, cos many of us are still turtling slowly,but thank god mine should be soon,,,hahahahhey congratualtiona,keep half of that USD 100 for me,i go KL , makan kuat kuat ok?
