Celebrating Paws-perity in 1Utama
I’m so proud of what my second home has done for CNY this year :) Though they used cat’s paw instead of a tiger’s, but still it’s a nice effort! The huge fortune cat is just so… err… now, now.. what word can be used to describe it? Let’s just say they are just too beautiful that you have just GOT to see it for yourself to be able to indulge in its beauty… I was so mesmerised by it, Ethan was even more fascinated by those gigantic cats.
We spent the whole evening around this area as Ethan just would not want to leave. He kept on asking for the cats!
Gong Xi, Gong Xi :D
These days, Ethan will ask for my camera if he sees something that interest him. Today, the cats fascinated him and he requested to capture them. I let him have some time with the camera and below are some of his ‘work’.
He has a more interesting ‘view’. I can see that he loves the lanterns and everything surrounding him, unlike me who only focused on the cats! He is going to be a better photographer than I do :D
We even managed to catch Yuen Hoi Sifu who is representing Master Li Kui Ming, the famous Fung Shui Master in Hong Kong. I was trying my best to look ‘intelligent’ but not even ten minutes through, I had to walk away. I don’t understand a word he is saying as I don’t speak Cantonese~lah!
P/S: Oh, I learnt something from the Sifu. He said when he ask who wants to be rich, we must raise our LEFT hand and not RIGHT hand. He told us that the cats are waving their left hands as money comes in from the left and out on the right. So people, now you know; start to carry your handbags/wallet on your left hand side :P
feng sui?? hmmmm…not for me.. hear hear must follow..no follow nanti sked.. so might as well dont go and listen.. for u not to understand cantonese is a blessing in disguise.. :p
Claire – I know one of our fellow bloggers who follows feng sui. Foong! He is very into feng sui one… :D Me? No leh..

Huh? You can't speak Cantonese? How do I communicate with you then? Haha! OK, stick to English, but I sometimes like to add some Cantonese words in between my English. Just a habit : )
Wah! Got feng shui master from HK? I missed liao. But never mind, been to Lillian Too and Joey Yap enough oredy! : )
so cute, i like the theme!
Wah! Just talk to my friend about one utama cny deco, i scroll down and see your post. Looks like this year cny deco mostly is lantern? MV also with a lots lantern and butterly and dragon fly.
1U certainly put in a lot of effort with their CNY decorations & events compared to most other malls, of course their largest exhibition space among all shopping malls matters. It is common for me to take photographs at 1U CNY decoration every year since 2005, without a miss! Not only that, I like their showtime performances held on stage too, with acrobatic lion dance, acrobatic shows, musical performances, cultural performances, etc.
