The final day
On the third morning we in Penang, we went out for breakfast without chaperon. We just drove aimlessly until we found a place to eat.
Looks good? My review, the assam laksa and prawn noodle FAILED big time! The fried koay teow was edible and the loh mee is okay~lah (considering Ethan wallop the whole bowl!)

After breakfast we went to Hard Rock Hotel and boy, I regretted not being able to stay there! I tried booking it earlier but it was fully-booked the whole of December weekends. Never mind, there will always be another time… Anyway, Ethan and I went horse-riding there. He was not at all afraid of the big horse and enjoyed the entire ride (
And I was a good girl too – not afraid of the horse! :P)
Eugene and family waited for us at the hotel and after checking out, we went for
lunch. After lunch, he led us to Queensbay Mall. No offense to the locals but when I was there, I was so thankful to be residing in the Klang Valley where we get to enjoy plentiful of beautifully decorated shopping malls during Christmas. In Penang, I don’t see anything to my fancy
:(
I bid farewell to Eugene at the mall.

We then met
Chaw Lai and his troop again for dinner.

My dinner –
Bak Kut Teh with Yam rice and vege. First time having BKT with yam rice! Over here in PJ I only have it with white rice. The yam rice is nice :)
Ethan’s dinner –
Wan ton noodle with soupDarling’s dinner –
Nasi lemak (forgot to photograph it)
After dinner Chaw Lai lead us to the airport where we bid farewell to them. The kids were already tired by then as our flight was a late night flight.

In the plane, Ethan was cranky when it started to take off as it was way past his bedtime and he was too exhausted. He was unable to sleep as I forced him to remain sitted in his sit. He wanted me to carry him and ended up crying during take-off. He cried himself to sleep but slept through until the following day
:)
What have I gained during my Penang trip? Though we did not visit many places, we were surrounded by great friends every single second we were there. They made sure our stay in Penang was a pleasant one. They went all the way out to chaperon us from the moment we touched down the airport to the moment we flew out again.
Khaw and Pei Pei, Chaw Lai and Pei Pin (and your whole troop) and Eugene and family. Thank you very much for your time and effort. We would have wasted so much time wondering aimlessly and getting lost if not for you guys who patiently lead us everywhere. No words can describe our gratitude to you guys. Thank you from the bottom of our heart.
Kung Yuik, Kiok Moi and daughter Felicia, thank you for being such a great travel companion. We thoroughly enjoyed travelling with you guys :D
P/S: We spent a total of RM50 only on petrol for our trip. Drove around Penang, went out to Prai and back Penang, got lost.. drove around again.. and all that cost us RM50 ONLY! :D
