Rekindling old passion
My sister just reminded me of what I loved to do before I got Ethan. Sudoku! Oh I tell you. I’ll bring my Sudoku everywhere I go! To work, to eat, to the airport, meeting (hehehe.. ), everywhere!
To those of you who haven’t heard of what Sudoku is, the objective of the puzzle is to fill a 9×9 grid so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3×3 boxes (also called blocks or regions) contains the digits from 1 to 9 only one time each. The puzzle setter provides a partially completed grid.
I made sure I did at least 10 Sudoku puzzles a day before going to bed and that is the minimum! I printed out new puzzles everyday and extra for my colleagues who shared the same passion as I.
Suddenly, when I got pregnant, I was totally off Sudoku. Looking at it, I went blank. Could not even concentrate. I found the simplest Sudoku difficult. I eventually stopped Sudoku.
But today, my sister asked me for the website address where I used to print my free Sudoku puzzle from, and I suddenly felt the urge to try Sudoku again.
Since being a SAHM, I am always afraid my mind will not be as sharp as working days. But Sudoku, ahhh… really keeps my mind in tip top condition.
So now my friend, besides spending my already limited leisure time on blogging, I have to slot in a little of Sudoku in my life. I cross my fingers not to let me get addicted to it again. Just let me do this for the fun of it, ok?
And if you don’t see me updating my blogs anymore, please, call the Sudoku Anonymous as I might have succumbed into my addiction…
