Ethan is 15 mths OLD!
My little Ethan turns 15 mths old yesterday. As usual, with each passing months, I will look at him sleeping and recall the day I held him in my arms for the very first time. He still looks exactly the same to me. Now I understand when people say that you will always be a baby in your mother’s eyes…
My dear Ethan,
You are starting to run now. Our daily game of Hide ‘n’ Seek seems more adventurous now that you will run to Mummy the instant you found Mummy. With that comes more bumps and bruises. Mummy remembered a few days ago when you fell flat on your face crying. Mummy ask you where does it hurts and you pointed to your nose. Mummy kissed your nose and you stopped crying and gave Mummy a hug. Ethan dear, Mummy will always remember THAT moment FOREVER as at that very moment, Mummy felt the strong presence of love and your hugs comforts Mummy more than anything else in the world.
You have also managed to recognise and read out loud 13 out of the 26 letters of the alphabets, and they are A, B, E, F, H, I, L, M, O, R, S, X and Z. You must be wondering why Mummy teaches you the alphabets in random instead of in order. The reason is my son, you are very impatient. You learnt A, then B, but got stuck in C n D and you got frustrated. Mummy soon proceeded to E and you managed that well and Mummy discovered that, oh well, if you got stuck, we shall just proceed to the next letter.
Your spoken vocabs have increased tremendously. You are now able to express yourself with simple words such as drink, hot, sit down, up, book and so many more. Life is so much easier now that Mummy knows what you want or asking for.
You have also totally rejects ‘baby food’. You refuse to eat anything specially prepared for you. You only chose to eat food that Mummy and Daddy eat and because of that, Mummy has to cook everyday in order to prepare food that has better nutrition compared to buying outside food all the time! But we do enjoyed the time preparing and cooking the food together, don’t we?
Mummy has also started bringing you to the loo every 45 mins to pass urine, and you managed real well at that. With that, the numbers of diapers you use in a day is reduced to 3-4 instead of 5-7 previously. Daddy is the most happiest at that as he almost gone bald buying your diapers!
Your favourite current ‘companion’ is a rocking pony, a gift from Grandpa and Grandma. You will climb up on it and rock like a pro and get down. Mummy is always worried that you might fall but son, falling is part and parcel of the learning process of growing up…
All in all, life with you is even more interesting now as you understands more and are able to communicate better. Mummy and Daddy love you very much. Grow well my darling Ethan…
